I guess what I'm sayin is, I dont think the deaths of 3000 people are cause to kill 10s of thousands (maybe closer to 100k). So when it happened I didn't feel "more American" I just felt it was unfortunate for those people but had nothing to do with me. But in the years that passed since it happened, and with all the terrible shit that's happened in the name of 9/11, I still find it hard to give a single fuck about it. I cant be the only one.

Our social contract with the government as people says we give up freedoms in exchange for protection. That means if anyone be they foreign or domestic assaults us, you protect us the best you can. If protecting us means killin 100K civilians, then 100K civilians are gonna die.

When you get married and have kids, you do the exact same thing. YOu give up personal freedoms to be in the marriage. You're gonna protect your family aren't you? I mean, you can feel how you feel.
Do I agree with everything that's happened since 9/11? I'd be an idiot if I did. Do I agree with the war in Iraq? Hell no. But to belittle 9/11 and say that wars and murders of others in the tens of thousands of foreigners isn't justified by the 3000 Americans that died is bullshit.

Nah, I'd just maim, and behead the dude alive. Instead, the U.S. decided to kill an entire country's worth of people who had nothing to do with 9/11 instead of going after the people responsible. The bold I completely agree with. 3K innocent American lives is not greater in any way to the killing of 100K lives in Iraq, a country that had nothing to do with 9/11. In fact the war in Iraq took away resources from the war on terror in Afghanistan.

The excuse that was used for the war in Iraq ended up being tied to trying to remove Saddam from power due to his genocide of the Kurds in the northeast part of the country. That in no way was tied to 9/11
