My dad is going to love this like the first one.

My dad stayed watching their movies when I was growing up.

They got damn near every action movie start from the 80's and 90's in this one.

Without Wesley Snipes, Carl Weathers and Steven Seagal, this will be a nice movie.

Ok, we don't know who's going to live or die in this yet but what action stars that didn't make this film should be in Part III? cause you know this will be a trilogy. I think for sure Wesley who should be getting out of Jail should be 1st to be contacted. I also think Michael Jai White would be good in this. Wesley has been in jail for 2 years, I think he will be out for good behavoir this year.

Im sorry but the modern action flick shit all over the 90s/80s flicks. The action is more real and far more visceral. Plus they are just better movies overall. Anyone of the Bourne movies action scenes or the Bond action scenes >>>>

The first Expendables was all kinds of garbage.

Be for real, that movie was ass...nobody would give two fucks about it if it wasn't for the names in he movie. It's just a bunch of washed up action stars slingin pointless and corny dialogue.

Yes the 1st Expendables was average but action movies today except The Matrix aren't seeing action movies from the 80's and early 90's. "Die Hard" or "T2" >>>>>> Any Bourne film. Aiight guys it's out today, don't forget to put your spoilers tags. Mods you can change this to "The Official Expendables 2 Thread" if you like.

GRADE (B)

Well that was pretty funny and enjoyable. Basically like the 1st film it was a homage to 80's action. Body's blowing up, guns blazing and some hard body fights. This time the Expendables team is on a mission of revenge. The movie starts out with huge action sequence. Some great fighting also. Once it's over Bruce Willis confonts Stallone and tells him he owes him. That sets the mission for this team. ITtwas great seeing everyone on Screen together doing a lot of their trademarked moves and one liners. There are some really cheesy/corny parts but they were making fun of themselves so you laughed with them. Jason is a good with those Knives, wow. Jet Li was underused to me. Arnold and Chuck's cameos were perfect. Van Damme was really good as the Villain. Thor's Brother was filler, sorry. The Asia chick was cool. But the movie was far from perfect. Arnold, Sly and Bruce in battle was epic. There could of been even more action but I guess they wanted to give some story. Overall can't wait for Part III.

Dialogue in this one was amazingly cringe worthy. Like nails on a chalkboard. Couldn't even block it out at times and just enjoy the ride like the first time.

Only three people escaped the film without a corny moment: Van Damme, his number two, and New Guy. Yeah, I said Van Damme. Colonel Guile. Him.

They paid some cool homages to Rambo on the low.

Saw this and enjoyed it immensely. JCVD really surprised me in this. And people saying it was unintentionally funny IMO that was the point. In expendables anything goes. It doesn't try to seem realistic like TDKR but really makes no damn sense. Highly recommend this if your a fan of the classic 80s actions movie and it is better than the first. And yes I think this wipes the floor with that disgrace that was TDKR.
