It takes more to rehab them and if there are no investors it isn't worth it to the city and letting them stand not collecting property taxes doesn't work for the city so knocking them down is cheaper. If the economy would have continue going up if the property value's would have kept going up a lot of that would have been built up. But of course you know what the catch 22 is.
