Slick rebuttal buuut...
Maaan dont play dumb fam LOL, we're speaking figuratively here its true tho 50 Cent did bully Diddy w/ the Cassie shit, The shit w/ Big on the Bomb First, calling dude a lil bitch, & sending more nasty insults. The vid is proof of that. U want more bullying ? Jay-Z signs Jay Electronica & did has a bitch-fit about it on Twitter sayin he was 'betrayed' nigga please no one wants some wack ass old nigga dancing all in they videos, tryna throw furs on them wen they rap politically conscious music. Hard to take a guy seriously for candidate as most powerful wen his reputation is being dragged thru the mud by a dude like fif and then Jay-Z LOL. & in terms of accomplishments, current standings, & business ventures both in and out of music 50 Cent & Jay-Z beat out puff. Vitamin Water, musically, products & sales records, movies & movie deals (lets not forget fif's 200 million dollar deal) and even in demonstrations of power within the industry against one another. Its cool that Puff had history (thats why hes in this convo LOL) but even then that was many years ago. Since the dawn of 50 Puff has taken a backseat to Jay & Fif. 50 did wat them niggas took 10s of years to do in only 4-5 years, took over the city & made himself a staple. Public embarrassment from 50 Cent, the numbers of the current years ongoing, when u ask anyone puff pales in comparison to his 2 rivals.
Good God must I bring out the guns now ? lets do a little comparing.... SMMFH
Jay-Z's Rocawear is doing $1 billion dollars in revenue, Puff does 100 mil in revenues, G-Unit clothing did 240 mil in revenues NOT including the shoe sales reebok had for both fif & jay. U say management/music ? ok Willow Smith, Jay Electronica, Bruno Mars, J.Cole, Rihanna, Wale, Mark Ronson, No ID, Solange, Kanye West, I need not break down Kanye's, Rihanna's, No ID's or even Jay's own successes musically he shits on Bad Boy. As for Fif ? about 32-40 million sold in just 4-5 years meanwhile Puff took almost 20 years (Jay some 12-15) to do that. AND he had Biggie. Jay got 11 #1s, critical acclaim, Beyonce & even more. Hard to take a dude serious wen ur own GF makes more money than him. Fif had Game, Buck, Banks, Mobb Deep and more. Oh & 50 Cent has been in talks to acquire Amalgam Digital... i need not say more....
Outside of music ? 40/40 is coming to airports around the country, Fif got a 200 mil movie deal, Jay owns a basketball team, Fif got 400 mil from Coca Cola & still got to keep a stake in the co., thisis50 is 1 of the largest hiphop sites in the world (again yall say he broke bridges yet dont wanna see that he's interviewed practically every artist thats come up in the last 2 years, all of whom shout out Fif & wanna be on his site). I'll leave it at that smmfh x2 i could go on for daaaays tho.
U say influence ? ok this is where the other 2 overstand puff. Jay-Z is legendary, he'll switch everyone from baggy clothes to button ups, practically made the Yankee hat more famous than a yankee, pretty much deaded autotune, lyrics are still being studied & deciphered to this day, has the game by the balls off Kanye & GOOD Music alone, hes become the ideal standard for ANY rapper. Niggas aint parading sayin they wanna be puff LOL. 50 Cent ? u want influence ? he wrote the fucking manual on power & his books are best sellers, but thats not even wat puts his influence over others its the mere fact that hes earned his rightful place, theyve thrown EVERY major artist & boss at 50 cent & hes drilled thru each of them and NEVER backed down from a challenge. In most cases not only swiftly beating his competition but humiliating them as well, wen he gets into a feud w/ a nigga literally the whole rap scene stops & gets quiet as every1 watches him. Now Lets tally up the bodies, Jarule, Supreme (1 of the most powerful drug dealers in NY call it how u want but all is fair in love & war), Irv Gotti, Rick Ross, he single handedly dissembled one of the most powerful crews in NY (dipset) wen he had jimmy & santana jump on stage w/ him (poor king jaffy joe, niggas will yell disloyalty but c'mon son SMH), Lil Wayne (he humiliated wayne too), T.I., Fat Joe, Jadakiss & the LOX (both Joe & Jada were once candidates for King of NY), Puff, Nas, Jimmy Iovine I mean the list is disgustingly long. Niggas say 50 Cent is why NY rap fell apart or that he's burned too many bridges ? yet fail to see that he brought the ENTIRE NY rap scene together at his concert wen niggas was sayin there was no unity, Dipset, LOX, troy ave, maino, shit everybody was there - Puff & Jay-Z cant even go back to the streets like that and do that and they wouldnt. They traded in their hood pass for the white audience (there is nothing wrong w/ this im just illustrating a contrast b/w having power over ur industry & peers and having power elsewhere u can make a decision on which one deems more relevant to the other). We're talkin about most powerful, not just by paper & success but by influence as well. See Donald Trump has more money than the president but the president controls the whole country & the game in which Trump plays in. Jay-Z is the BEST RAPPER (alive - arguably), Puff is the best promoter, 50 the best businessman....
Puff is not equal to Jay-Z or 50 Cent & there is nothing hes got that puts him over those 2 as a whole. Hes a socialite now & yes hes got a great history, but everyone from Mary J Blige to even Big all had plans to leave him over "questionable" conduct (MJB has been vocal about this in the past w/ best friend Lil Kim). The Ross & Nicki being Big & Kim is ridiculous & shameful, dudes gets tossed around by Fif, dude even whined & cried about over twitter wen Jay took Jay Electronica, Niggas cryin over gas on youtube & he a millionaire ? SMMFH waaaack. & let me say again... the whole point is not to shit on puff LOL, hes been doin his thing for years & thats great, hes an icon in his own way but so are his rivals. Hes a powerful guy - no doubt but facts is facts hes just not more powerful than Jay-Z & 50 Cent and thats just that.
Oh & mastermind that statement not entirely true about Em, Dre & Iovine , check forbes, fif did 80 mil then the next year 100 mil (tho i think it was 150 mil i cant remember) while em & dre did only 20 respectively. but while ur at it check billboards 2000-2009 list , Jay-Z was placed at #4 behind Eminem, 50 Cent & Nelly... puff was at the near bottom END of story.
btw great thread Fazeem *daps*
*goes back to lair*
