Even though I dont think 50 destroyed anything. But if he did , what does that say about east coast hip hop artist? I mean Waka weak ass was able to get on because he knows how to hustle . If one man can destroy a whole region that just shows how that region is lacking the ability to hustle and/or talent.

While I disagree that 50 cent destroyed east coast rap, no one here can argue that his business model demonstrates the worst of hip hop. He built his entire career off of trying to destroy others' careers. It's one thing to have occasional beef from time to time. Every artist worth their salt will do this. But to churn out album after album on the basis of 'who can I pick on for no reason now, spend 3 months going after, have my idiotic fan base believe its a real beef so they can buy my records, and then never mention again' as a mantra is disgusting. I don't know what's sadder - 50 or the people who believed in his gimmicks. I'm glad this one-trick pony is finished.

50 never started any of those beefs w/ the exception of ja (& even then ja was the first to throw a punch), niggas got too competitive n envious n went at him thinking it was just "rap". n hiphop done changed but it was always about how low could u kick a nigga... jay had pics of prodigy @ summer jam, he was smashin down nas baby moms. the battles & beefs ARE a significant part of hiphop. once again tho u cant sit down n ignore jay, nas, busta, dipset, kiss n niggas like that who have consistently put out good music. NY fell off cuz prior u couldnt get fat joe, busta rhymes, jay-z, puff & nas in a room together for the longest. 50 was still the only nigga who put on a major concert & invited EVERY rap nigga to show up n they did. if u ask me he brought that NY unity back... u mad ?
