How does that refute the claim that it is not pseudo science as it has been successfully used on other species?
It utilizes the same principles: control for desirable traits, and eliminate undesirable traits. Arguably there is even good evidence for this in humans from America's slavery days.

You can breed for specific traits; i.e. a bigger, more muscular field-hand; however, environment trumps that shit.......
