He's one of those MC's where if i listen to a Joell Ortiz CD i don't walk away learning about his actual life he seems like he just Rap's to Rap

It goes back to this i consider Eminem to be the greatest Artist of all time now when ever i listen to an Eminem Album i walk away learning everything about Eminem from his daughter to his wife to his mother to his child hood to his struggles to his drug addiction to his darkest thoughts to his political views and so on

Those are the standards for me actually speaking on your life from a very personal perspective and adding emotion

The bonus for me is Eminem also makes his Music catchy

So my point is Joel Ortiz is not gonna ever blow up or get respected unless he does a 180 and changes everything from his content to adding emotion to his Music and learning how to craft Chart topping Hit's

Get the fuck outta here with Eminem the greatest ever all his albums have the same formula he has the song about his daughter, than he has the song about killing his wife, then he has the song about killing is mother, that's it. He's a great lyricist no doubt but don't make someone greater than he his.

The only person that will be a legend from an active status in hip hop right now is Kanye West.

legend is a prestigous word. the last legend in hip hop was 2pac. I dont even consider Nas and Jay Z legends yet. j cole wont be a legend. drake wont be a legend. def not buddens. a legend brings something to the game and expands it and the only person that has done that in the last 10 years is Kanye.

Well the word legend can be subjective. IMO the only reason Pac is so glorified is because he died young. Yea he made some great songs but his personal life overshadowed his music, which is really hard to fathom because this nigga made like 2 million songs. But at the same Pac had an impact on a lot of his listeners which is why his name will not be forgotten. So when you think about it, its not that hard to see Gucci as a legend if he keeps grinding. There are niggas who like Gucci not because he is the best emcee but because he speaks on a reality that you wouldnt understand unless you lived it. Its the fans that make emcees legends, its has nothing to do with the emcee's technical ability to rhyme. If I can feel the music i dont give a damn how many metaphors the rapper used. The niggas i listed have a following that will not let the music fade. No one on my list is a fad. I didnt name 30 niggas I named 5 so im not just throwing out the word legend without regard for the meaning of the word.

LEGEND is thrown around on here a lil to much, so Ill take it a notch down and rap hall of fame cuz that what alot of these niggas is... they can make it to the HOF, you cant have 100 lengens thats like sayin you 10 Greatest of all times.... Do you know why Jay, Nas, Big and Pac are legends cuz you cant make a top 10 list with out them... they should be on every bodies top ten, if ther not than ur list is irrelevant.

but if I was to play along my potential long shot Legends would be Jeezy and Ross... okay Ima explain, these the only guys I see that relevant east, west, and down south, more important gave u 3 above avg albums in a row to start their career thats not done alot.. especially Jeezy if he drop another hard ass CD like Resession they might to take good look at his body of work cuz this guy drops classics. Im just saying that the greats gained notoriety and legendary status from being the mainstream hiphop sound. I see the work ethic that hiphop was built on in these niggas. They get out and make shit happen instead of waiting for handouts. Those the niggas that make music that survives the test of time
