You know he was spitting a verse he had on a Coldplay record, and on a record that never got released officially right? He was not freestyling at all. I think the song leaked some time last year. In fact here is the record he recorded long before he rapped over Grammy Family

he did the freestyle first unless its some evidence that this song was first and then the freestyle

When the song came out the whole story was posted about how he did this song, and did not put it on the album due to him not finding production for it so he spit the verses on the radio bro...Jay is not going to rap at a station, and then put it on the album (if the song is not already recorded). He did not create verses to go to the rap station. Jay has never been like that bro. Here is a link of Green Lantern saying the acapella he had was from 2006 while JAY-Z recording "Kingdom Come" they never got a beat for it.He even states he heard a Timbaland version, and a possible Just Blaze one. Stop it bro. This is common knowledge. You do not know when songs get recorded NO ONE DOES unless they are there. SMH.

Here is the back story in case you do not feel like clicking the link bro

Between his his strangely overshadowed verse on "Monster" and the "Power (Remix)" we've been hearing a lot of new Jay-Z recently, or in the case of the new mixtape joint "Most Kings", new old Jay-Z.

Done in partnership with Chris Martin - the Coldplay frontman Jay would also team up with for "Beach Chair", prompting Kanye to throw a "I thought of working with Coldplay first" tantrum - "Most Kings" was originally recorded during the "Kingdom Come" sessions, but never found a beat and instead spent the last few years floating around before most recently landing on DJ Green Lantern's "Invasion Radio 2K10" mixtape. I'll let Lantern explain further:

“This is my version working with the acapella…I’ve had this since 2006 and it was supposed to be on the "Presidential Invasion" mixtape – that never came out. Then Hov rapped these lyrics over his HP commercial drums, and the acapella went to a few different producers in search of a beat for it. I heard a Timbaland version and I think Just Blaze and a few others had it too. But by the time they made "Beach Chair", I think Jay was over trying to find a beat for "Most Kingz". Then he went to Flex show and the rest is history…”

its not common knowledge considering everybody believes its freestyle. i just dont seem him stumbling over the words that much if the song was recorded previously. if jay doesnt write anything down and has such a great memory why would he mess up as many times as he did? im not saying you're wrong, that just doesnt make sense to me. if its true so be it if not oh well its still doesnt take away that the song was ill.

Man, You just heard it from Green Lantern that it was around bro? You still question it lol? What would he have to gain? He was going to put it on a mixtape he never released, and leaked it last year. Pretty simple to understand. Jay-Z does not freestyle. That is where you guys are horribly misinformed. Sitting in a chair listening to a beat (sometimes for a couple minutes sometimes for an hour or more) creating stuff, and trying to remember is NOT freestyling. LOL I just gave you proof that it was around before he went on Flex, and you hit me with that LMMFAO. STOP DERAILING THIS THREAD. Keep it moving bro.

That's another reason i don't like his Music aside from his Subject Matter and finding him boring i never been a fan of Freestyle type of Rappers that are all Flow

I am into the Substance type of Rappers who are actual Artists that actually have a strong pen game and Song Writting that create Songs that are powerfull with Substance

Well he doesn't exactly freestyle nor does he exactly write it all down. His method lies somewhere between the two. He comes up with all the lyrics (the pauses, ad-libs, voice changes, etc.) in his head. He listens to a beat, assess it all and comes up with a full verse or whole song within like 15-45 mins. BIG did the same thing to an extent. Its actually really incredible if you think about it or see it for that matter.

Just listen to "Song Cry", "Meet The Parents", "You must Love Me", "Ballad for the fallen soldier" or "Lost ones". Then consider that he did this process for those songs and all his other songs. I'd think you'd change your mind bout jay a lil.

I dont care if niggas clown me for being slow but could one of yall break down the bolded ?

He's basically saying you'd get embarrassed for trying to go against someone above you. Conceptually, if you think about it to spit to God you'd have to spit straight up.The act alone is disrespectful. And the result would always lead to said spit falling back in your face. Its inescapable.
