people don't realize that you not 21 forever

youll remember u thought 25 was old

then 27 is old

then 28 is old

then 30 is old

then 32 is old

then 35 is old

then 37 is old

before you know it 40 round the corner

then you will be the one saying I aint old at 40

people be acting young but to the really young 16-18 crowd

you the one that is old and washed

Pac was a full grown man at 25 while today these youngster Milli Rock like they Carti

they wanna be younger then they are

the same way you judge is how you get judged for being old life is to short for that

I believe it was Aaliya that said age aint nothing but a number

40 not old. 100 years really not old when you think about it. 1917 was just a few years ago

East coast started that age shit in rap.

As a teen i always thought my favorite rappers were "old men" especially southern rappers. They dressed in the same silk shirts, gators, suits and appreciated cadillacs as my father and uncles. They rapped and spit game like older men. Besides kriss kross and mobb deep I actually despised younger rappers at this time. I am die hard wu fan but never got into shyheim. I blindly hated on lil wayne and lil flip

40 ain't old but you're definitely no longer a "young man".

With that said, you gotta play your lane accordingly, meaning you'll look silly dressing like a 16 year old, talking about trappin, poppin pills, and sipping lean. But you can still be yourself, state your message, and have fun with it.

I don't believe 40 is old at all for a rapper especially if they haven't been in the lime light for too long.

What are your thoughts?

When KB new shit dropping bro? He doing ok from the Houston flood?

All it takes is someone 2 start Adult Contemporary Rap. As u all see U NEVER lose the love for hip hop just outgrow certain vibrations therefore material. All it takes is a dope track, right look and speak to grown folks. Hell of a formula and he'd eat. It's a void for those over 35 right now and that would fill it. I thought 25 was ANCIENT when I was 19 lol. What y'all think? Not could it work, but would u support it?

I dont think rap has had to deal with so many older people in the game. 90s legends with gray hair and shit. The rules of whats too old is bound to change and it should. Already happened with all other genres of music before rap. There's really gonna be 40+ crowds in clubs and concerts jamming at rap concerts. Probably at casinos and shit.

I've seen "Adult Contemporary" rap being proposed on several other sites and I've made the suggestion here myself.

It's about time for it to really happen.

That would only happen when 35 plus year old rappers start acting their age; not their shoe size.

There is definitely a market for that though. I don't listen to Jay-Z but I hear his last album flirted with that even though he's almost 50.

I might start dipping into those waters myself and find older more lived in and experienced rappers who embrace aging gracefully to produce for here in the city. At least once I complete my musical portfolio and start a new soundcloud.
