If jay was smart he would have certain artists like him beyonce and a few others that have considerable % in Tidal have a 2 tier model to help the company bring in more revenue.

1. Make their upcoming album streamed exclusively through Tidal

2. Only allow digital and physical copies to be purchased through a newly created Tidal store

That way you get the die hards to pay 9.99 to 19.99 a month for tidals streaming but still could get 100,000 to 500,000 people first week to pay 9.99(Mp3 download) -14.99 (CD or Hifi download price )

Pure album sales exclusively through a Tidal online store would boost revenue and value for the company. It would also cut out a middle man distributor needed to sale physical copies in stores. Making physical copies and digital downloads exclusive to a tidal store would hurt amazon and apple who still make money on nigga downloading digital copies of albums which have limited costs since the download process doesn't need packaging.
