good then good now nothing spectacular but i thought it was a good cd

I Agree with this, You can tell RZA was going somewhere different with his production on this cd. sometimes it worked (Campfire, The Heart Gently Weeps) But sometimes it was hard to follow (Rushin Elephants, Unpredictable)

The Wu gimmick died in the 90's. Aint nothing bringing it back.

What Gimmick are you referring to?

8 diagrams wasn't their best work. All of the members didn't buy into the Album from the outset and you can hear it in the Music. RZA did some experimenting as usual beat wise but I think the beats fell short (not whack but not in sync with the MC's) because, they weren't in the studio collabing, the MC's Dropped verses and RZA did whatever he liked thereafter. I think the MCing was on point as usual though.

i am a huge wu fan so i will gladly listen to 8 diagrams. BUT from an unbiased standpoint its an above average album (compared to most music). i think to really "review" this album you need to understand that its not gonna be the caliber of an Enter the Wu or Wu-Tang Forever.
