white sox signed zach duke for 3 years $15 million the other day smh he is proof that if you are a soft tossing lefty you can make a nice long lucrative career out of being mediocre with the occasional teaser year and become a very rich man -- he credited his success last year to changing his delivery but what else is he gonna say -- i just know relievers be having up and down years all the time very few are consistent

boone logan got a 3 year $16.5 deal last off season from the rockies and went 25 innings with an 6.84 era in his first year hopefully zach fairs better

in other white sox news dodgers apparently are pursuing alexei ramirez aggresively if joc pederson is somehow involved in this shit man smh
 
yea thats more than wishful thinking they do have a couple of promising ss so im surprised they are pursuing alexei aggressively they might be willing to move one

as long as its not any of those outfielders theyre trying to move
 
I don't know what the cubs gonna do.The options are give Lester or Scherzer a monster contract or sign Shields or trade for Hamels or sign some mid tier cats like mccarthy,hammels,masterson,ervin santana etc

Phillies want an arm and a leg(Like bryant AND russell) for Hamels so they can kiss my ass.Shields I don't particularly want don't know man.I rather let the prospects develop together,add a vet bat or 2 and go all out for price and zimmerman a year from now
 
that trade for la stella was interesting because hes theo type of player he hits for contact he has absolutely NO RANGE in the field though and is a poor fielder as well and cant really do nothing else but hit and if you look at it castro really isnt theo type of player -- i wonder if they decide to move castro

cubs are still early enough in the process that there are plenty of holes to fill so no reason to really trip off not signing someone this off season but lester would be really nice but its looking unlikely now with what gammons said
 
That's another thing that's annoying all you hear is castro trade rumors damn near everyday and it's been that way since july now acquiring this utility cac mf just adds to it.I don't get it baez will never hit like castro and russell hasn't even dominated double a yet.I have a gut feelin they gonna eventually trade castro if that happens Imma be pissed I don't give a fucc who they get in return.I understand he can be absent minded at times and does stupid shit and he still can hit he best hitter the cubs got
 
and hes also the most proven and hes on a team friendly deal too -- you already know there have been many cub prospects that were heralded and didnt pan out so i wouldnt be so willing to include castro in so many deals either

i heard on the radio cubs were dangling baez in the zimmerman deal but they wanted russell -- baez along with castro are players theo inherited if any prospects get moved its gonna be one of them i think

They need to let Max walk and extend the lefty, Price, or let him walk after the season too.

Melky/Upton, and Miller should be our next two pieces.

If they do sign Max, it should be 4 yrs.

I would be fine if we went Verlander, Price, Sanchez, Porcello, Ray/Lobstein. Or if they traded Price too and went Verlander, Sanchez, Porcello, Ray and Lobstein.
 
We've made an offer to Adam LaRoche. Also expressed interest in Hammel and Masterson. Marlins first offer to Giancarlo was a 6 year, 130 million dollar contract that he obviously rejected.

Boston signed Pablo too, according to Ken Rosenthal. He said they planning on moving Hanley to LF, IDK about that.

I'm not sure how I feel about the White Sox signing LaRoche. He fills a need for that left handed, power hitting bat to break up Abreu and Garcia in the lineup, but dude is 35 y/o. It's only a 2 year deal, so that's a plus. I wished they would have been in on the Jason Heyward trade, I'm tired of seeing the White Sox sign aging free agents

I think making it to the ALCS with 3 all stars out showed the rest of the league somethin. Go spend some more money.
 
The red sox tryna get Lester And Cole Hamels.Peter Gammons sayin Lester returning is close(he retracted that today so it aint close but they're still tryna sign lester)and usa today reporting red sox and phillies are having serious talks about hamels.Dodgers tryna get hamels too
