I believe that's where his success comes from. To me he isn't any different from Wayne, they are the same rapper to me. I like 2 Chainz bc his music serves its purpose and that's how I look at it. He isn't the most lyrical but he does have some catchy lines and some bangers so he cool. I know a few rappers that rap the way he does but they do it better imo.

Nah i would probably call it corny. Jay-z ,Beans and especially Wale have corny lines from time to time. Now we getting into the age old discussion of whats lyrical and what isn't . Really to me its how lyrics are put together. I have always preferred rhyming/metaphor and some time punchline style over the stumbling and bumble to corny punchline style. Like i said i don't fuck niggas that do that thats wack to me. Now people would consider J.cole lyrical but to me he and 2chainz have a similar style. Which is wack.

i most deff agree but what i was getting at is people are judgemental and biased... they judge you before they even listen 2 you... most of the subject matter n rap is the same the "lyrical" and " non lyrical" rappers talk about the same shyt... but there is only so many variations and ways u can talk about " the/yo struggle" "the guns u have/have bussed" "mc's u better than" "haters" "hoes u fucked/have" ect... so after awhile it goes 2 who u personally identify with.. the lyrics dont matter... case in point besides the codine references in 2 chainz "viagra" i can see jay-z saying the exact same shyt... but niggas who dont like dude will say its trash... but if jay z said it not a word would be said by the same people...

Aiight I got you. I been sayin the same shit. In rap you can make anything lyrical. I was arguing with some dude on here one day(I think it was ptown) and he was trynn say that everybody doesn't wanna hear conscious shit and blah blah blah. I told him Illmatic was on some street shit just like half this southern rap shit is. Only difference is it was lyrical, you can talk about girls, money, cars, etc. and make it lyrical.
