I've seen my fair share of documentaries about the history of blacks BUT this beauty by Ava truly captured the mental, emotional, and psychological plight since our arrival to this country. The dialect spoken by black and brown scholars filled with unapologetic frustration and neediness to expose the truth had me writing down names and dates of those before me that I never heard of. Hearing these men and women speak clearly about those who plotted against us from the beginning and how they use the same rhetoric today to continue the same destructive path of keeping us stagnant in our inability to protect ourselves is truthfully painful.

I urge everyone to watch and hopefully start conversations in our households and communities. Black Lives will always Matter, we don't need their permission to believe so
