The albums really grown on me

First half is a lot better than the second half

Carry Outs got a good minimalistic beat its very creative and JT kills it

The JoJo, Miley, Perry collabs are all bangers

Morning After Dark could have been better but it was a good concept and creative

The album tails off towards the end but its a solid 4 mics

..................ay, as long as MAGOO isn't featured on the album. i'd rather hear Praswell, Flavor Flav & the retarded one from Ying Yang Twinz drop a mixtape.

Listened to the previews on Amazon a while ago... fucking awful, and there was me thinking the Chris Cornell album he produced was bad. Timbaland's lost it, simple as

lol @ tim giving jay all the wack beats, and keeping all the hot beats for himself, and still failing in the process, while jay blew up

Shit like this makes me wish Aaliyah was still alive. Timbo and Miley Cyris? It's a pop album and I'm not into emo raves. I miss when Tim had that funk. Why can't he recreate it?

Timbo has really fallen off. I dont care if he's getting money from the pop crowd. His beats are terrible lately

2.5/5

"Shock Value 2" definitely owns up to its title, with guest

appearances from Keri Hilson, Brandy aka Bran' New, Drake, to

Daughtry, The Fray, and Disney Channel's own Miley Cyrus.

This album should be called random. There are of course a few Hip

Hop influenced vocalist, some R&B, Rock, and house. Sounds like

it would make a great mash up, but not exactly. While none of the

tracks are just dreadful, this album will not be in any specific genre

but Pop. The main question I have for Timbaland is, "Who is this

album for?" This albums sales should suffer at first, sure there are

promising hits such as "Say Something", "Meet In Tha Middle",

and "The One I Love". But Timbaland's biggest hits might come

from the Miley Cyrus, Daughtry tracks that could ultimately

damage his career as a Hip Hop producer. Once the singles for

this album drops, fans should go pick up the album but I don't

think there are many fans that like Drake, Miley Cyrus, and The

Fray. Trying to be commercial doesn't always sell records because

an artist might lose touch with them self, and Timbaland did that

on this record. When every beat drops listeners will know it's a

Timbaland beat, and it's dope. But the vocalist often get out

performed by the production. All the tracks are above average

but the target audience is the main concern.Only music junkies

will probably like the entire album. Is Timbaland going

commercial for sales? Is it worth it? I don't think he'll be able to

answer these questions because "Shock Value 2" is a big flop.

Lol. Whoever reviewed this album does not know what they are talking about as evidenced by the statement that the tracks w/ Daughtry and Miley Cyrus could hurt his career as a Hip Hop producer. That won't hurt his career as a Hip Hop producer no more than "SexyBack" or "Promiscuous" hurt his careeror credibility in the realm of Hip Hop three years ago. Further more, when has Timbaland billed himself or committed himself to just one genre of music. He's always been a PRODUCER, not a Pop producer, R&B or Hip Hop producer, but a producer in general. To categorize this album simply as a Pop album is also erroneous for the simple fact that it plays more like a NOW compilation which consists of different genres of music.

The only thing that the reviewer got right is that this album is for music junkies which is probably the target audience he intended this album to be for.
