I remember when my ex miscarried. She was all sad, depressed, etc. I felt bad for her but I couldnt really be that sad myself b/c I had no connection w/ the kid whatsoever. I couldnt feel it kick & it couldnt make me sick & all that other stuff.

Yea....word....shyt is hilarous to see the dynamic of an expecting couple. One picking out names, room colors & clothes before the second trimester, the other still tryna figure out when & how he got her pregnant.

Pregnancy scares me....shit is basically a parasite. What if my kid comes out with 12 toes, down syndrome & a Hills Have Eyes type skull. Now I gotta love an ogre.

being a parent costs a lotta money, it requires a lot of time and energy...you're going to be sacriifcing a lot, and giving up a lot of things you were doing before you were a parent,.....a large part of who you were before you were a parent is instantly gone forever....of course you are excited about being a parent, but a lot of men don't always look at it as fun and games off the jump, they see it as more work and a much more serious outlook on things....

me personally i'm extremely excited about being a parent....but my reaction wasn'y as exuberant as a woman's normally is....

I am not getting what you mean by fun and games. its not supposed to be viewed as fun and games by anyone.... where did that come from? Cars cost money, require a lot of maintenance, etc etc. women are expected to make those sacrifices as women, wives and mothers... even as girlfriends and jumpoffs women are expected to give up parts of themselves.

they want women to respect them as leaders, head of household and men, yet they dont want lead, whine about responsibility, make excuses for, justify their shortcomings and lack of leadership abilities by blaming women (not necessarily in this scenario).... yeah alright. smh

but that's exactly what the premise of this thread is...atleast that's how i see it....when he said men and women look at pregnacy differently, his example was their face book status...

the picture it painted was the females being all giddy with smiles and laghus talking about due dates n names and 50 comments n what not... u know damn well outta those 50 comments they talking about baby showers, and cute outfits, and who's features the babies going to have...

and you pan to the fathers facebook where, he's throwing up a nervous smile that says..."yea i'm happy....but shit jsut got real...we'll have fun later..but right now a nigga gotta figure out how imma make this all work out"

he's talkign aboutt he compare and contrast where the party doesn't just stop for a lotta females...once a pregnacy happens te party climaxes...
