Same crooked PD that covered up Trayvons murder

Total worth of police department x 100 + lawyer's fees is what the police department should be sued for

Should never get to this point.....niggas gotta learn to walk away...thats why i try to never engage irate women aint no tellung where that shit gonna end if i hulk up on her ass...

Can't really blame them for that.

She's probably called 911 on multiple occasions, yet refuses to press charges and decides to stay with the man.

Basically, they got tired of responding to her calls when all she'd do is go back to her boyfriend anyway.

They don't get the luxury of "getting tired".. they have a job to do and that's to take every call for help seriously, first time or fiftieth.

I kinda got mixed feelings on this one.

My wife works as a prosecutor hell she just worked a murder case.

I sometimes read a lot of the affidavits for the more petty offenses she has to prosecute too and I can tell you in those domestic cases more than 60-70 percent of that stuff is straight pettiness.

He threw a shoe at me, so I'm pressing charges against him for battery. That was actually a real case she had to prosecute. Smh.

A lot of these calls the cops have to go to these couples residences numerous times for petty shit like the aforementioned, I'm no apologist as I can't stand most of the low level little beat cops that handle situations like this and traffic violations but in this situation I'm not so sure the blame is squarely on them like most people are trying to make it out to be.

Some people woulda been mad as hell if they took him to jail in the earlier situation for some petty shit you can't have it both ways.

Sanford chief says officers handled domestic situation properly before shooting rampage

SANFORD, Fla. - Sanford’s police chief is standing by his officers and how they handled a domestic dispute that left two people dead and four others shot.

Police Chief Cecil Smith called a news conference Monday to go step-by-step through body camera video from the night of the shootings.

It's plenty of people who do petty shit and don't go home and murder a bunch of folks.

You talk as though the earlier situation was an indicator that this guy was some type of psychopath which it was not.

Even the girl herself said she should just lied on old dude yet you still say "oh they should have took him to jail anyway." Once you tell one lie or threaten to do so you damage your own credibility.

This is an unfortunate situation but based on the information that was given here there was no indication that this dude was a murderous threat and to say otherwise is a reach.

people die over petty shit everyday

one cop figured dude called the 911 to keep himself from hurting her. they even had him handcuffed in the patrol car at one point

they're not completely absolved of any responsibility here

This is a horrible situation no doubt but it's very short sighted to say oh based on the earlier information given here before the rampage that the guy was a murderous psychopath.

If you didn't know the outcome here it's likely you would say this situation was petty yourself.

Life doesn't work in reverse though you can't look at the end and go back and say I would have did this based on the outcome. Outcomes aren't revealed until later and if the cops locked up everyone under suspicion of being a threat it would even be worse for Black men like you and me.

Like I say you can't have it both ways, you open up the door for just any old average joe getting locked up on the basis of a lie or someone perceiving them to be a threat. If the evidence doesn't indicate it you got to let them go, do they always get it right no, but others shouldn't have to give up their rights just because one situation went south.

It's all fun and games until somebody comes fooling with you based on a lie when you know you hadn't done nothing.
