Why the hate for 8 Diagrams?

I see a lot of hate for this Wu Tang album but I really don't see why. Maybe it's because I am a "newer" wu tang fan but this album in my opinion bangs. can someone tell me why there is so much hate towards this record?

You just answered your own question. That's exactly why..
Go and listen to Enter The 36 Chambers, Wu Tang Forever, The W, and Iron Flag and compare it to 8 Diagrams.

They set the bar so high with their earlier records 8 diagrams was average and lacked the chemistry of previous joints.....IMO.

IMO, it isn't worse than W and Iron Flag, they all about on the same level - average.
W is maybe slightly above average, so I also don't understand the hate, it's all in big expectations.
And Diagrams didn't live up to them.
