Why is Texas the most unified state in US Hip Hop?

Anytime I hear a record from them, it's always like 50 rappers on the remix. They all get along, they all collaborate, and their beefs never last long. They have their own sub-culture of low rider cars, syrup, chopped and screwed music, and the sexiest women in the nation. The only other state close to Texas' level of unity is California, but it's still too many petty niggas out their desperately clinging to Chicago-style gang bangin.

and let's not even mention ONE state over on the Eastcoast... they wouldn't know "unity" if it skeeted in their jeep and left condoms on the babyseat.

Is it because Texas is so big that they can afford to embrace one another instead of beefing and sneak dissing?

All of US hip-hop are not unified anymore, it's all about beef, image, dirty business and many more.

Mike Jones, the death of pimp c and some other stuff, Texas and florida are not that good rap anymore, not what they used to have after Uncle al & DJ Screw died.

Texas unity all stems from the love and respect they all have from Dj Screw and UGK. Tha nawf and souf of Houston all use chopped and slowed music so much that all they previous lil petty beef was overshadowed by their respect fa Screw. UGK had huge part in keepin them niggaz from beefin too much as well.

Even florida has the love for their own rappers while they had feuds and stuff, they love and respect each other and they have respect from DJ Uncle Al.

Has texas ever had a mega star? Like a dude who sold a shitload of records and was amongst raps elite. Its easy to get along when you're all basically on the same level. When a few mega star emerge, we'll see how much love they get from their "peers" down there.............

He was considered amongst rap's elite and he sold a shitload of records. Before Tip came around, when you mentioned the South Scarface was the 1st thang that came to mind.

Ok let me clarify. I mean a rapper who has released albums that sold 3-5 million a piece. A rapper who can sell out domestic and international tours by himself. Numerous #1 albums. That's where I'm going. I tip my hat to Face's career. Its noteworthy. However, he's not the artist I would consider in the "mega" persuasion. He also surely hasn't sold a shitload of albums........
