Why do Christians think they got a green light to fck before marriage and swine up?

Probably for the same reason people do so and don't read the Bible. Who knows though. Then, there are people who use marriage as a "green light".

Probably because they take most of that stuff as seriously as an atheist does. "Christian" is just a title, it doesn't really mean shit.

They just ignore the parts of the Christian bible that they don't like or that don't make sense.

There's a lot of banned shit that's ignored:

Not to mention the people who should be killed:
- Homosexuals (Lev.30:13, Rom.1:26-32)
- Adulterers (Lev.20:10, Deut.22:22)
- Disobedient Children (Deut.21:20-21, Lev.20:9, Exod.21:15)
- Women who are not virgins on their wedding night (Deut.22:13-21)
- All non-Christians (parable told by Christ - Luke 19:27)
- Those accused of wickedness by at least two people (Deut.17:2-7)
- Anyone who works on the Sabbath (Exod.35:2-3, Num.15:32-6)

To ignore is also "bliss":

you can do something and still know that it is wrong according to your particular beliefs.

Think of it like its insurance.

They sign on the dotted line just to be "safe". Never read the fine print or any of that. Then when it's time, they mad as fuck when they aren't covered talking bout "but Im supposed to be covered"

Because you're a heathen who doesn't understand the Bible, and they're smart enough to interrupt what the Bible really means.

Read your Bible.

Its not ok, so stop going around acting like it is and that you got a blessing from Jesus to do so.

Its actually punishable, in the words of your God.

Exactly bro...but that's one thing they not gon' do & that's read the bible, they rather mininterpret Paul's writings to override "thus saith the LORD"... for some reason, but oh well ..

So yall gonna act like fiat didn't just ether Christianity?

The Christians of the IC have a long-standing policy of ignoring anything that really embarrasses their religion.

Back in the day, they actually begged the admin to create a special subforum for them where atheists would not be allowed to question their beliefs.

It was fun.

But threadstarter should consider why religious people think sex should be controlled by the mosque, church, temple, etc.

Also, swine is just fine. Just cook it. You'll be okay.

i dont know that it was ethered or disproven or whatever. It was just some verses, mostly old testament that probably dealt with punishment that was applicable at that time, but i certainly don't know enough about it address it in its proper context. so yeah, in that case, it was ethered.

They use the "we all fall short" line in the Bible even though they're taking it out of context to excuse shit.

They treat God like he's literally "their Father...who art in Heaven" or like he's thier boyfriend/girlfriend or something.

"Im sorry God...my bad...and amma be sorry when I fuck this bitch on Thursday too"

Assuming Christians consider the Christian bible to be their "God's word", I see no reason they wouldn't subscribe to the Old Testament's laws/rules.

Unless, of course, they ignored them out of convenience.

if they're Christians, not Jews, i don't see why they would follow every last nuance of the Old Testament

10 commandments? those were laws that were direct orders from God. now as for the other laws referenced in the OT, i don't know if the same applies.

But don't Christians believe the Old Testament is the "word of God"? If so, do they feel that "God's word" is not absolute or that "God's" commandments do not need to be followed?

If the answers to the above questions are "Yes" and "No", respectively; the only other explanation is that they are simply overlooking or ignoring the parts they don't like.
