why can Eminem get a pass but Rick Ross cant for being a C.O?

Eminem was known for cussin his momma out and getting into 'White Problems",but Rick Ross gets bashed for Being a C.O.Eminem can get a pass for making a song called,Foolish Pride about bashing black women but Black women will bash rappers for making songs talkin down on women.why is it black rappers are constantly given a hard time and white rappers get a pass?Yeah, yeah I know about the controversy with Eminem and the gay community, but he apologized and was put back on his perch. Black rappers on the other hand are constantly dogged over their misogynistic, anti-police and gay bashing lyrics.

All the more reason I can’t figure out why there isn’t a loud outcry over Eminem’s bashing of just about everything under the sun.

Eminem can dress like a drag queen but 50 cent still kisses his ass but will tear down his own black people.

His lyrics are no better than then his contemporaries. Which brings me to my question, is Eminem given a pass because he is white trying to be black?

Look at Will Smith. Many blacks say he isn’t black enough with his music

Why because he isn’t rapping about “guns” and “Ho’s.” His rap is clean and fun but he doesn’t get as many props as Eminem.

Eminem went through what mostly white kids experience all the time redneck poor and his mom was a drunk and his daddy beat him silly.

But why is it blacks are so hard on our own and let others pass?

I’m sure some blacks will say it isn’t true, but the moment a white person (especially guy) comes out and becomes down like a “brother” he is welcomed into the fold and you better not touch him.



Plus, there seem to be more of us defending Eminem’s lyrics than whites. Look at his management team.

Also, Rick Ross hasn't exactly been raked over the coals. We knew he took that name from the real Ricky Ross before he even dropped a single, yet he's had three albums debut at #1. Even after the stuff about him being a CO leaked Deeper Than Rap still went to #1 the first week. Rick Ross's career was not hurt at all. Basically him being a CO is only a major issue on this board.

I have no problem with Eminem talking about his mom. Don't run under the assumption that all mothers do well by their children. Some people just love their moms so much to a fault that we think our mothers or other mothers are flawless. We sometimes look the other way when our moms are messing up. Not all moms do right by their kids. If Eminem's mom was doing drugs and being neglectful during Em's childhood he has the right to vent about that in a record.

The Foolish Pride tape? Just read these boards enough and you'll find a lot of black people who aren't cool with that song. You act like everybody loves Eminem on this board, which couldn't be further from the truth. Eminem was wrong for that though because unlike other rappers he specifically mentioned black women and generalized them. He apologized. Nobody is obligated to accept his apology though, but if some do that's their right as well.
