WHO WAS YOUR IDEAL MAN WHILE GROWING UP ?

Ideal man was my father growing up.

Proud black man that is smart and loves his family. I really couldn't ask for a better role model. Even though he's extremely militant and crazy at times I know he did the best he could for as long as he could.

My uncle as well (the one that still has the jheri curl and gold chain earring). He was like the relaxed counterpart of my dad.He worked hard and played even harder. Also taught me about the mentality of men.

I appreciate them both being in my life.

What dis they tell you precisely?

Any quotables?

Little gems like never fall for a man harder than he falls for you.

Make your own money so you don't have to rely on anyone else.

Be happy with yourself and your confidence will attract others.

Don't shit where you eat.

Men will say anything to get the panties. Hear the words, but always observe the actions closely.

If it was meant for you to have it, you will, but don't dwell on things that are out of your control or reach. Dream big, but be realistic.

Lol no clue, but it helped me prepare for a harsh world.

You can't sugarcoat life lessons,imo.

In your puritan American is not every Dad and uncle that talk trilly with their daughters... you re lucky imo

Well.

My ideal men were my cousins. They're my grandma's 1st cousins, but..anyway. it's 8 or 9 of them out of 12 kids. But they honestly SHOWED me how men were supposed to handle being fathers and sons. They still come out to the farm to help with the crops and now they are taking care of them in their old age.

But my dad put me up on game tho..

By being typical.

I will say he did a good job of keeping me aware of the reality of male/female relations from an early age.
