I'm not understanding why Kanye is so surprised by European fashion conglomerates not wanting to back him. The fashion industry remains one of the most racist / classist industries to date, and they'll stay that way as long as ambitious Creatives like Kanye continue to insist on relying on them..
What he needs to do is humble himself (which he obviously cannot do at this point, but whatever), and start smaller. Instead of striving to be the "Tupac of Fashion", first become the "People's Champ of Fashion." Start privately and independently, and if your product has appeal, the rest will follow. He can build his own factories, order premium fabrics, and have all the control he so yearns for.
Only problem is, he wants Whitey to just give all of this to him, which is NEVER going to happen..

He talks so passionately of an impending "Class Shift", that is quite inevitable at this point thanks to how accessible information is nowadays. I'm failing to understand how he doesn't realize that the frontrunners of this movement will have to rely on Independence in the beginning..
