The words and the feelings that those words create = lyricism to me.

I break it down like this:

A rapper- raps Cat hat, then follows up with frog, Dog=not Lyracism

B rapper- raps cat, hat, mat, pat, sat, in the back of the lac=Lyracism

I get what you sayin, but at the end of the day rap is poetry. Poetry don't always have to rhyme or be elaborate to get the point across. Just has to be genuine and thoughtful.

But...if they ain't even talkin bout shit...then...why listen?

for the talent for me first comes rapping if they can't rhyme for shit why would i listen to them we would have a bunch soulja boys running around.

thats true thats why every rapper isnt a lyracist, not saying they are bad rappers some of my favorite rappers are not hardcore wordsmiths, but when i feel in the mood to get into my lyrical shit i know who to turn to.

John Lennon and Bob Marley great song writers who kept it simple so everyone regardless of age could understand the message

to me a great lyricist is one who can get his words across to everyone without pigeon holing himself or needing to go over niggas heads on some " i'm complex, look at me i am complex" shit

for example Canibus, that niggas career is where its at cuz he tries to hard

music from the soul, simplicity wins over complex niggas trying to hard

give me Pac and ol skool Dmx over any other rapper

No this shit again.

I remember I read KRS-One interview, KRS-One said himself that 2Pac is one of the greatest lyricist because he knows what work and what not. Biggie Small is just better MC's and Pac is just better artist, both of them are greatest rappers and they have good lyricist in them.

Biggie Small can paint you the movie. 2Pac can understand your pain and your feel. Both of them are totally different artist in good ways. That's why many people said they can't even imagine Pac + Biggie =....Unique

Why do you think nobody can't fuck with double albums like All Eyez On Me and Life After Death. Why do you think Pac always believe in Biggie Small and he always think Biggie is a greatest rapper?

Why do you think Eminem said, "Take some Big and some Pac and you mix em' up in a pot
Sprinkle a little Big L on top, what the fuck do you got?"

I am little fucking drunk but having a good buzz

as far as pac goes was he the greatest lyricist ever in my opinion yes he was and not because he was saying because he acutally had skilled and could put together words and rhyme them real good and he was saying someting at the same time.
