Snoop was never a crip, but the image worked for him for a long time. Paying people off not to expose him, using Ghostwriters for his entire career. Snoop has lasted due to his personality being entertaining, not his terrible music. I've stopped listening to him for years now, I do not care. He's always been a personality and has never been an authentic artist, so I do not care tbh.
