Not sure if it's considered a board game, but my husband & my brother have been teaching me how to play chess & i love it. I love scrabble & trivial pursuit too.

Chess is good for cultivating mind power. My friend who was like 4 in chess at,some point in the rankings taught me. Let me tell u, that shit is like war, so much strategy and thinking go into it.
