No. how about making music people would want to sample. All the great music of the 70s and 80s where the samples are coming from used creativity and uniqueness. Now everyone wants to copy the formula thats hot for the time being

Sampling costs really depends on the artist. Or the label that artist was signed too. can still sample a lot of shit that people aint even heard, a whole world of records out there. I guess not so much now, vinyl is going extinct.

Co-sign word is 90% of all vinil in the world hasnt gone to cd yet.

Some of these cats now are to used to sitting at their computer to make their beats and don't even know the whole concept of digging for that old R&B album that haven't been used yet to make a good joint.

You can still get the vinil to the comp and chop it up.Not everyone got the dough to buy a mpc homie.

This is what every hip hop producers weaponry should consist of. Or live instruments. i love how the roots can take a sampled record and play it with instruments and include all of the voice samples too.

Who has the budget to do that unless producers start doing what Ski beatz has been doing which is chopping up the sample

then have musicians play the music how the sample is chopped because then it becomes an original compostion that you

don't have to get cleared or do what DJ Khalil did in the making of "Its Kinda Like a Big"

He chopped up the performance of a Live Guitar Mixed it then fulled it out with more sounds again it then becomes an original

composition . Or get a Producer like Ryan Leslie who plays all the instruments live and even creates new instruments out of

household items .

MPC's aint that expensive, my buddy got a MPC, no mixer or any other studio stuff besides a speaker and Protools/Fruity Loops he downloaded off the internet, makes some good shit. His grandpa gave him a shitload of old records. shit from the 40's man. MPC only cost him 350 bucks. Hes got the 1500 tho. Dunno what the differences are. His is used put in great shape, Check craigslist and shit. i saw them at Cash America and other pawn shops before.
