lol @ at cease ignorant ass

I was just sayin’ this earlier, B.I.G. let it be known to people that he was listenin’ to you. He would never make a whole song about the whole situation with ‘Pac or, the shit with Nas, but he would tap on it, he would write lines to let them know he was listenin’,.

... it's called a subliminal

/THREAD!!!!

One of the dumbest things I've ever heard. Shit was as blatant as could be without actually saying his name. Big was a fucking coward for that shit. Should've said something when Pac was alive.

Oh word? Lil Cease in XXL magazine, April 2003:

"That was about ’Pac. He had some shit at the beginning of that though, nobody heard it, on the reel. We had to change it. It was a little too much. I can’t remember what Big said about him, but it was terrible. It couldn’t make it. He didn’t want to do it. He had some fire. But he didn’t want to make it too much. He just wanted to address it and to let nigga know, “I know what’s going on, and I could get wreck if I want to.” Like, “If I really wanted to get on ya niggas, I could.”

All I know.. Long Kiss Good Night is one of the best songs BIG ever made.. And lyrically has stood the test of time and is up there amongst some of the greats rap songs of ALL TIME.. The Horns on that track are scintillating.. BIG MURKED THAT

^^^^ *NY biased post*

i swore i read that a lot of the song was about Boot camp click. I think Boot camp click was in a studio. Puffy came through and told them niggas biggie coming they need to get out. they started fighting and that's how that beef got started. And one reason why Boot Camp niggas linked up with Pac. they both had beef with biggie. or that might have been referencing kick in the door. shit i cant' remember exactly. either way long kiss goodnight is one of my favorite songs of all time

that whole 2nd disc was something serious

and after reading the thread more thoroughly it seems like it might have been in XXL and not the source... Diddy probably got him to say otherwise

I know Big was supposedly dissing Jeru Da Damaja and Nas on "Kick In The Door"

I think Big got a couple dudes in BCC stomped out for beefing with him. I think The Roots and certain members in Boot Camp didn't like Big's flashiness and Versace raps

Mane lil Cease ol' snitchin azz bitch azz nigga. Biggie turning over in his grave. That nigga is a clown. Only reason why I came in here is to say that. That statement isn't valid proof. It's just some more he said/she said bullshit coming out of his punk azz mouth. Where Maino at when you need him?

On a side note- loving that sig right there lol.

That chic can give my a long kiss goodnight on the penis

Cease is trippin, he knows damn well the orginial version of "Long Kiss" was recorded while Pac was alive. He died, then Big re-recorded the song taking out the worst parts about Pac while leaving some of it in. After the Demo version, the final version was done and released on the album. The song was about Pac but out of respect for his resent passing, Big changed it up but you can tell certain lyrics stayed in. So all you people talking about "Big made this song after Pac died", stop, Big was recording the whole LAD album from 95 to early 97 so the majority of that album was done while Pac was in fact alive. Also Pac had many how many disses and comments in interviews against Big?, A Lot so Biggie had every right to speak his peace on the subject but again after Pac's death he changed up the lyrics. So there are 3 versions of the song, the full diss (Nobody will ever hear it, rumors are Biggie and Diddy had the reels destoryed), then the Demo version which Rza and Capaddonna talking trash with Big, then the LP version with Puffy talking trash. I did a breakdown awhile back, I will post it. But yes "Long Kiss" is about Pac.
