Like the dunk dunk contest needs Derozan...
the dunk contest has always been this way..since they first started doing it..ish it's this way on the playground courts...the contest has to cont. to be this spectacle cuz we have seen just about every dunk u can come with...thats all that's left.

I agree with Derozan 100%. The contest is corny now cuz these guys try their hardest to be "entertainers" and have personality and use gimmicks, etc. If you're really into basketball, the great dunk itself is a high form of entertainment. I DGAF if you jump over the hood of a car if the dunk was a regular ass alley-oop when you break it down to it's raw execution.
Focus should be on the dunk alone, not all the other stuff. I don't care if a nigga is dancing and smiling and telling the crowd to get hype. Did he execute a great dunk?

Im not a gimmicks person at all but the Gimmick starts with the dunker.. Blake Griffin has a presense about it so he doesnt even need flair but flair/ presence always factored in these dunk contest.. Its apart of the act.. granted youll get some skewed scores. ie Griffin that dunk was a 6 and presentation was a 10.. i enjoyed the SHOW
