Yeah they are. I've read 16 of them. They have some things that are annoying about them, but the stories are good. VHD vampires are overpowered as hell though. I don't want to spoil anything, but if you put the past vampire society described in the books and put them up against Star Fleet, the vampires would probably win.

Gotta disagree here. VHD isn't really entrenched in Asian culture like those two. It's more or less inspired by European vampire lore. It's one of the few anime that you could probably white wash without actually changing anything in the story.

That said, I saw recently where they actually are working on a new anime series and live series and both projects are being headed by the author and director of the second anime, so they may be good.

Just came in here to see the ICs opinion of the flick but this is some of the best news ive heard in a while. The 2nd film is way better than the 1st. I want more badass human vampire hunters that will clearly be outmatched. That squad was beast.

I have to watch both since I have not seen them in years. The second had better animation as it was newer, but I need to see them back to back to speak on the action.

I read that before the last film was made that Scott Speedman wasnt included in the 4th film due to the fact it wouldve ruined the focus of the movie which was supposed to be the chemistry between Selene and Eve. And he wouldve been just a subplot so they cut him out completely. Used old footage and for the new film a different guy that was basically just there to show his fate.

saw it yesturday..

went in wit the lowest expectation so to say i wasnt disappointed can be misleading..

alot of holes in it and the fighting was real whatever..

the Tully nigga did his thing the few fight scenes and if u watch it ull figure out why..

but really it wasnt all that but i wasnt trippin by movie's end..

like i said earlier..

i was too invested to not see it..

and the main character bitch use to be my love thang..

but she's been replaced.. its this bitch wit the white hair in this movie im now in love with. lol
