GOAT thread

thats why i dont get wit all the complaining.

there are so many artists out and so much music being made,

no one should be complaining about whats on the radio

fuck the radio,

the internet is your friend and she wants to introduce u to new music

they not gonna like this thread, too much logic and truth. People want live in nostalgia...and not realize the game has changed.

Rap/Hip-Hop momentum and popularity has decreased a bit from the full charge from the 80-90's.

that techno crap has taking it's place as of now

We are getting nothing but fire and never before in rap has there been so many options!!!

Stopped reading after that shit... Hip hop is getting better , but chill out with all that golden era shit... Look in the reason awards thread, mfs was leaving mad slots open cuz they couldnt even think of a top 5 ¨fill in the blank¨.

That's because it's only this year award. Y'all old heads naming 5 albums that came out in 1997?

You act like your generation started variety in hip hop. Wrong!

During my time, the goons was Wu-Tang, RBL Posse, 2pac, Geto Boyz, Onyx etc

R&B was the GOAT, we had Jodeci, Janet Jackson, Babyface, Aaliyah, Shai, Tevin Campbell, New Edition etc

For the Backpackers we had, Biggie, KRS-One, Nas, Eric B & Rakim, Jay, etc

For all the females, we had TLC, Lauryn Hill, Foxxy Brown, Lil Kim

Not to mention you can smoke trees to all these artists minus the R&B and they made dope ass party tracks.

I'm talking about variety improvement compared to 5-10 years ago when it was mostly one hit wonders and gangsta shit.

I'm not talking about now compared to the 90s

I was with you til' the bolded.

Variety doesn't mean anything if the music is garbage in all areas. This is the aluminum age if you ask me.

That's just my opinion though. If you hear what's coming out now and like it, more power to you.
