exactly what I was fixin to say to Jeff Axel. lol @ Celtics fans now "overrating" him. like someone else said, 2 weeks ago he was your key to a championship.

Well as a fan his value was never overrated. He brought alot if intangibles to the table. Rebounding was the issue in last years finals, and it showed when he was out. I just think boston fans get alittle more sentimental seeing as how he basically spent his entire career here to this point. I havent actually seen anyone overrate him. The general impression i get he is missed more if anything.

My whole point was we got alot for him, and it was a very lopsided trade in hindsight. He is not bill russell

We needed his rebounding in that game 7 but a lot of people are treating it like we traded an all-star dude really didn't want to come back for the money we was offering I aint losin sleep cuz big Perk is gone

Lol they was giving him a standing ovation when he came back, now he is overrated because he ain't with Boston anymore.
Boston fans are something else, that's why they ain't winning shit this year.
If Perkins wasn't that important then why did people say that him getting hurt in The Finals hurt them in Game 7?

like i said he woulda grabbed boards but his career averages are 6 points and 6 rebounds he was a good post defender but it doesn't make us a whole lot worse we were 34-10 without him this year

Because we had no other bigs...thats the only edge the lakers had. But only in that series.

Why is being realistic a bad thing for a fan to be

Perk is making 8.7 mill a year now. Heres who that compares to
Jason Kidd
Lamar Odom
Andrea Bargnani
David West
Devin Harris
Stephen Jackson
Richard Jefferson

Is he worth it now?

well he is exactly what we need, rebounding and interior defense. We might as well of signed Bill Russell, he fulfills a necessity for us. It may be lopsided to YOU but not to the Thunder.

and what do you think we need? Rebounding and defense. Plus, the situation couldnt be any better for Perk. He wanted more money and we were the team that needed him and could give him that money he wanted.

I dont get it either, the thing they needed him for is what we need him for and now the deal is lopsided? how is it lopsided when we got rid of two big contract problems and gained a player that solves one of our biggest problems on the court? scratch that 2 of our biggest problems, rebounding/defense and 3 point shooting (Nate).

Nate Robinson??? hahahahaha he's been terrible this year 7 points on 39% shooting and 31% from three he is a terrible decision maker he pulls up for 3's with like 22 seconds on the shot clock like i said Perk has bad hands and bad footwork he's gonna frustrate you more then you know and you better hope Nate NEVER see's the floor

Risky move by Presti since Perkins is one more Knee injury away from collecting that money and being the modern day cheaper version of Allan Houston.

Ainge traded him for a reason cause he knew Perks knee won't last another 3-4 years so he got Green instead.

Any injury tearing MCL and PCL plus another injury this season should raise eyebrows but we will have to wait and see how this plays out.

His description of Nate could just as well fit Jeff Green who is frustrating as hell to watch.
At the end of the day both teams got what they want and only time will tell.

nah not at all. Green and Krstic are good players, we not excited about losing Green. He was a huge fan favorite here, just as Perkins was in Boston. Its not a lopsided trade at all, its pretty even actually when you look at it.

truth. I didnt think of that. Green has been struggling this year, Nate cant be too much worse than Green at shooting.

Bruh, just be glad that you got Eric Maynor as the back up point guard because if Nate ever sees the floor he's gonna frustrate you more then Green did. This year Nate didn't attack the basket shot like 5 3 pointers a game even tho he's shooting like 30% couldn't dribble that well and is a terrible defender

When we play him it will be for quick scoring, which I think he is capable of. He is a spark plug, once he gets it going the whole team gets going.

Exactly. He will not be a PRIMARY backup like he was in Boston. I see them using him in spurts to inject some offense and energy. The Celtics depended on him much more than the Thunder ever will.

man he hasn't provided scoring all year it was times where they would put Quis or Pierce at the point and have him off the ball and he still couldn't hit shit those spark plug days are done

lol man now u just hatin. just cuz he didnt do it anymore at Boston doesnt mean its gonna be the same way here. Let the man get some PT before you start sayin his days are done. Why u tryin to discredit our trade? I can talk a gang of shit about Green and Krstic if you would like. by the way, we did something similar with Daequan Cook.

So getting Jeff green, Ray allen, Kristic, glen davis, and the clippers 1st rounder for 2012 for Perkins (with maybe two bad knees and a 33 mill contract) and nate isnt lopsided?
