The South is about to get even stupider: Georgia cuts HOPE scholarship funding

I have nothing of substance to add to this conversation. I know GA is broke as hell, my mother works in GA public schools, my lil sister had hope, till she screwed up her first semester at school. Im not surprised to see it go, its a shame tho, GA was the 49th worst state in public education a few years ago, im pretty sure they are still holding down that spot. Cutting funding to education when your state is dire need of improvement is a bad idea. i would guess they are trying a new tactic to help the youth, but I am very doubtful of that.

i knew a few people who went to school because of that scholarship too...damn shame

You're really going to get your language skills on the IC's spell checker? Why would Georgia students even trip then? They don't need the HOPE scholarship all you need is the IC spell checker. Thank you for clearing that up.

The stuff schools are teaching is a joke any way all of its poison. The schools are just pumping out sheep.

Even the most elite universities understand that having a diverse campus is essential in academics

Cutting this defiantly undermines that
