No diss but its the truth.I gotta alot of people Uptown/The Bronx and they get murdered for a tiny ass apt.Dog,1100 for a one bedroom?

lmao thats almost a mortage payment even in North Jersey...

I know I know once you live the city most people cant leave..but fuck that.When I was working there I used to show people our classified sections and they couldnt beleive it.They were like that has to be in Newark(there are other cities in Jerz you know..lol) I was like nah Elizabeth aint newark..lol..

I stay in NYC I even do laundry and get my hair cut up there sometimes I be up there so much,lol.But I COULD NOT live there.At least not paying rent...This is not a pro-jersey thread..I myself think about PA in the long run.They REALLY got it cheap and VA..oh brotherr.....

Yep alot of minorities leaving the entire state.Too expensive.

Also,sale tax is ridicolous even on food its eight percent.Here its 3 percent,jesus christ.Even if you got mcydees its a combos gonna run you 10 bucks and some pennies..like theyre crazy bro.

I dont east fastfood but just giving an example.The clothes I dont find that expensive for some reasons.I think its a competition between vendors I go there to buy clothes..

My Unc has a 2 bedroom apt in the Bronx thats about 200 years old, $1200 a month.

some people just fear change, but nah, i'd have to be making MAJOR money to move back up north

I'd say maybe for about 10% of its inhabitants

But a large majority of NYC residents are the working poor, just trying to make it to the next check.

If you're there trying to excel in business, the arts or something of that nature, it makes sense to endure the struggle

But if you're a custodian or a grocery store cashier, rent and sales tax (a $6 pack of cigs is like 12 bucks up there) the cost of living is eating you alive.

I'd be in some dump on the worst side of town with them ridiculously huge rats yall got up there. Everything would probably be in the same room, bedroom, kitchen, bathroom, etc. I'd probably get killed or injured within six months. I'd have to win the lottery before I even considered moving up there. I heard Manhattan has the priciest real estate in the world.

1100 for a 1 bdrm? That was the price for a 1bdrm out here in the South Bay/Southeast/Hub City area of Los Angeles in the mid 90's. But i agree... NYC-L.A.-S.F. have the highest rent in the nation.

Sadly 1100 for a one bedroom is actually kinda low in the city these days. Shit is unreal. But these jackasses kept electing a billionaire with connections to real estate developers to be Mayor of NYC so it's just inevitable.
