Hiphop isn't hiphop anymore, not much to dissect lyrically and it just doesn't have that aura it used to have. I personally enjoy the music now sonically but even lyrics I pay no mind these days. I just wanna listen to nice beats nice hooks while driving. I listen to jayz pusha t and whatnot but overall it's more so collection of music no more single artist I pay attention to, shit done changed.

I've been said this and will stand by it. U can Holla mod this and mod that but ain't shit to talk about when there's no music to talk about. I joined in '03, the whole message board thing was still fairly new so you had cats who got put on by other cats around the globe who had no idea shit existed cause there wasn't the internet all while the music itself was still pretty good at the time.

Fast forward....the culture has expanded massively, the music has drastically declined, u have trolls and the topics are are mostly about the past instead of the future.

i feel there are a bunch of quality posters here and threads that can turn into great discussions but often they can get derailed by people who really dont want to discuss shit. they just want to say this person is the goat or this album is classic...my fav artist is better than yours and then get mad if u disagree. its corny...we all entitled to our own opinion and for most threads its really no right or wrong answer. its about a poster having the ability to have a decent and healthy (it seems like some of y'all mutha phuckas are having fits on the other side on this screen) discussion. niggas should try and give reasons for their statements since this is a discussion board. lets really discuss things and respect each others opinions. i think if that were to take place u see a lot more people active in threads and giving their opinions.

It's not enough diversity. This the fault of the posters though. People always make topics for albums EVERYONE is going I hear and no topic is made for the smaller acts.

I'm not saying something like a Rick Ross thread shouldn't be made, it should but people who listen to different stuff need to step up and make topics about that too.

To add on to what's been said already, alot of niggas make the same thread 100x. If you have a good series, 1 thread a day will suffice, no need to make 5 threads with the same premise everyday

Niggas debating with emotion and not logic is fuckin up the reason.

I like what sion's doing with helping the artist on the IC showcase their music , instead of lettin it die in the subforum.

More reviews are needed imo, especially on artist who are unknown to most.

I've made countless threads and so have others about artist not the normal jayz nas,Drake bullshit that gets a few replies and it's gone. A thread on cj fly new track will get 1 post but one on how funny drake look in a picture will go pages

"Who?" or "never heard of him" is the usual response for lesser known artist

so if they're not willing to listen to new artist it makes sense why the same artist get talked about constantly
