President Donald Trump on Wednesday defended his unsubstantiated claim that President Barack Obama's administration "wire tapped" his phones at Trump Tower, saying that the phrase "covers a lot of different things."

"Wiretap covers a lot of different things," Trump told Fox anchor Tucker Carlson in an interview scheduled to air Wednesday night. "I think you're going to find some very interesting items coming to the forefront over the next two weeks."

Yes, contrary to popular belief the president just can't single handedly push through most legislation it's checks and balances to this ish.

Federal judges can strike it down, although I'm sure Trump and his team are going to appeal this all the way to the Supreme Court and who knows what their decision will be.

The legislative and judicial branch are designed to keep the executive branch in check, although the legislative branch in this country is run by mostly partisan imbeciles and in the end the American public suffers.

Trump is learning a crude lesson that he just cannot enact all that loony shit he was promising on the campaign trail without push back and other politicians with opposing interests making him compromise to the point that his legislation looks and acts nothing like it was originally intended.
