A 22-year-old Delaware teacher repeatedly had sex with a 13-year-old middle school student and the pair often sexted each other, authorities said.

Stephanie Seabury, a Long Island native, drove the student to her home after school on at least one occasion, the Dover Police Department learned in their investigation. She and the boy were seen on surveillance video in February leaving the school and walking toward Seabury's car, cops said.

The Fred Fifer III Middle School teacher and the teen also "exchanged several explicit phone messages and photographs during the inappropriate relationship," according to the police report.

“As parents you should be checking their texts and everything like that," Jesse Allen, a parent of a different student at the school, told CBS in Philadelphia. "It doesn’t reflect on all teachers, there’s always one bad egg somewhere.”

Seabury, who was charged with one count of sexual abuse by a person in a position of trust or authority, was suspended by the school district. “I’m glad they removed her immediately and did the right thing," parent Michele Marvel told CBS. "My heart goes out to the student who now has to be in the school." According to her Linkedin profile, Seabury attended Hauppauge High School on Long Island and graduated from the University of Delaware last year before taking the job at the middle school.

Marvel's daughter, an eighth-grader, was in Seabury's English class. "She did not care for her to be perfectly honest with you,” Marvel told CBS. “She said she didn’t teach, she did not teach is what she said.”

WILKES COUNTY, N.C. – A high school teacher in Wilkes County has been charged with having sexual relations with two students. The Wilkes Journal-Patriot reported that Kimberly Waddell Macemore, 24, of Wilkesboro, has been charged with six felony counts of sexual offense with a student. The suspect had been a second year English teacher at West Wilkes High School. School officials said she has since been suspended without pay. The offenses allegedly involved two male students at West Wilkes, both 17 at the time.

Investigators said the sexual offenses allegedly occurred between Oct. 1, 2013, and Jan. 1, of this year and did not occur at the school. The suspect is also accused of writing an English paper for a student, which was presented under his name. She also allegedly gave alcohol to a minor. Authorities said the suspect was arrested Thursday after being found in an upstairs closet at the Liberty Theater on Main Street with her boyfriend. The suspect was jailed under a $25,000 secured bond, which was later reduced to $14,900. She has since been released from custody and has court planned for July 23.

WATERLOO REGION — A teacher with the local Catholic school board has been fired for having sex with a drunken 17-year-old student.

The dismissal of Jacqueline Lavigne, 33, follows her conviction in Kitchener court last month after a two-week trial at which she chose not to testify.

Justice Patrick Flynn said he had "no doubt" the teen — whose identity is protected by court order — was telling the truth about a sexual encounter at Lavigne's home in Kitchener in the fall of 2011.

Then one of her students at Monsignor Doyle Catholic Secondary School in Cambridge, the teen testified they had intercourse and oral sex after Lavigne invited him over while her husband was out for the night.

He also said Lavigne did some assignments for him and that the encounter was the culmination of weeks of sexually explicit text chats via BlackBerry Messenger.

Lavigne broke down sobbing after the decisive verdict and had to be consoled by relatives and other supporters.

She was put on paid leave when the allegations came to light in early 2012. Her status changed to unpaid leave immediately following the conviction.

This week, trustees with the Waterloo Catholic District School Board took the next step and voted behind closed doors to fire her.

A married mother of two young children, Lavigne taught and coached sports at the Cambridge high school for seven years.

She is scheduled for sentencing in June for one count of sexual exploitation, which involves sex between a youth 16 or 17 years old and an adult in a position of trust.

Crown prosecutor Melissa Ernewein has said she will seek a substantial jail term.

Lavigne also faces almost certain discipline by the Ontario College of Teachers, which has yet to serve formal notice of separate professional charges.

Smyrna teacher charged with sexual abuse

By: robin brown

A former Smyrna High School teacher and coach, who resigned while under investigation, was charged Friday after investigators say she performed oral sex on a 17-year-old boy inside her classroom after school.

Jennifer J. Suarez, 37, of the 100 block of Huntfield Drive in Smyrna, was arrested about 1 p.m. Friday, Smyrna police said. She was charged with first-degree sexual abuse of a child by a person of trust and released after posting $20,000 secured bail.

The investigation of Suarez, a math teacher who became coach of the school's cross-country team in 2012, began in February, after an allegation of misconduct reached police.

"Students and staff brought it to the attention of the school resource officer after some rumors started surfacing," Senior Patrolman First Class Brandon L. Dunning said Friday night.

Dunning told The News Journal he cannot comment on messages exchanged by the teacher and student or an alleged "video of the encounter" mentioned in court documents. He said police would not release specifics of the allegations or evidence.

But the sworn document police filed in Justice of the Peace Court to support the charge against Suarez gave details, including that Suarez began telling the boy, a track and cross-country athlete, during his sophomore year that she "had feelings for him" and performed oral sex on him.

The two planned the Feb. 11 sexual contact, which occurred in her classroom after school as another student stood outside the room's closed door, the police affidavit said.

The victim, interviewed March 18 by police with his parents and attorney present, told investigators he was kicked off cross-country after he started dating a girl who also ran, but "the 'flirting' [with Suarez] continued off and on," the affidavit said.

At another point, it said, Suarez "attempted to have him disciplined again for remarks that ... [he] supposedly made about her."

"His parents made him apologize," police told the court, then Suarez "began messaging him again. At this point the two began making plans for a sexual encounter."

They agreed to meet in her room after track practice, police said, and discussed their plans at length during a school planning period. "After track practice, they went into her classroom and she gave him oral sex," the sworn police statement said.

Surveillance video confirmed they were in her room alone during the planning period and after the track practice, police told the court.

Surveillance video also showed another student "standing outside of the classroom during the time of the abuse" and he told police his understanding was that Suarez was performing oral sex on the other student as he stood by the door, the affidavit said.

Smyrna School District Superintendent Deborah Wicks told The News Journal that Suarez submitted her resignation to the school board at its April 16 meeting, effective immediately, but said she could not comment on the case.

"State and federal law prohibits the district from discussing confidential issue," she said Friday night. "Generally speaking, however, I can say that the district thoroughly investigates with the police allegations of employee misconduct."

Her arrest shocked the father of a student Suarez coached on track and cross-country at Chipman Middle School, who said her reputation was so good that students transferred schools for the opportunity to run under her guidance.

"We never saw anything remotely inappropriate with her interactions with the athletes," said Jim Westhoff, who works as a spokesman for the state Department of Transportation.

He called Suarez's arrest "very troubling news," adding that "those of us who know her are very upset about it."

Suarez coached his son, who then was undefeated in cross-country and the mile race, Westhoff said.

"She's an extraordinary person," he said. "She was able to show my son and his teammates their potential in amazing ways."

Suarez could not be reached for comment.

Although Smyrna Police Department investigators know of only the one instance of her having unlawful sexual contact with a minor, Dunning said, "the investigation is continuing."

Amber Kraus, Science Teacher, Accused Of Sex With High School Student

An Illinois science teacher is accused of carrying on a sexual relationship with a student at the high school where she taught.

Amber Kraus, 30, is charged with criminal sexual assault of a victim between the ages of 13 and 17, and aggravated criminal sexual abuse. Lake County prosecutors say the science teacher admitted having sexual contact with the Grant High School student, but denies that they had sexual intercourse. The victim told police that the two had sex at Kraus' Grayslake, Ill., home, and exchanged inappropriate photos.

Kraus has since moved to Mundelein, Ill., according to the Lake County Sun-Times. She was released on $10,000 bond and must obey a curfew as a condition of her bail, in addition to avoiding contact with minors, including the victim. The teacher resigned from Grant High School, where she had taught for eight years, after the allegations came to light Oct. 9. In a letter to parents, school administrators called the case an "isolated incident that occurred away from campus and involved no other students," according to the Daily Herald.

Kraus is not the first Chicago-area teacher to face allegations of sex with a student this year. In August, a 39-year-old instructor at a vocational school in Chicago was arrested after she allegedly had sex in a parked car with a 17-year-old enrolled at the school.

Teacher and married mother of three 'had sex with student, 17, and sent him racy text messages and X-rated videos'

By SNEJANA FARBEROV

A high school math teacher from Pennsylvania has been charged with having sex with a student and sending the 17-year-old inappropriate text messages and videos. Erica Ann Ginnetti, a 33-year-old married mother of three, was arraigned Friday on more than a dozen charges of institutional sexual assault, corruption of minor and disseminating obscene materials to a minor. According to investigators, the math and calculus teacher at Lower Moreland High School first approached the victim last May during the senior prom, inviting him to come work out at her gym. A few days later the 17-year-old responded to Ginnetti with a text message, and the two began communicating on a daily basis.

The criminal complaint against Ginnetti says that over the next several months, the educator sent the minor sexually explicit text messages, photos depicting her wearing bikini, a thong and other underwear, and videos showing the woman undressing suggestively and performing a sexual act on herself, according to The Bucks County Courier Times. According to officials, the illicit relationship culminated in July 2013 when Ginnetti and the male student met for coffee in a Philadelphia Starbucks and then drove to an industrial park to have sex in in the teacher's car. The 33-year-old then allegedly dropped off her paramour back at the coffee shop and asked him not to tell anyone about their encounter. The trim, raven-haired teacher appeared at the District Court in Willow Grove this morning for her arraignment wearing a plaid jacket and large sunglasses, as seen on the local ABC.

She was released on $50,000 bail pending a preliminary hearing scheduled for Valentine’s Day, February 14. As part of her bail condition, Ginnetti has been forbidden to have unsupervised contact with any minors except for her own children, ages 8, 11 and 14. She must also surrender her passport, and the authorities will keep track on her using a GPS device. Lower Moreland School District Superintendent Dr. Marykay Feeley said in a statement this morning that the math, calculus and algebra teacher has been placed on an administrative leave ahead of her impending termination. The allegations against the married mother-of-three came to light Wednesday when police got a tip from someone who had overhead students at Lower Moreland discussing X-rated pictures showing a minor and Ginnetti doing 'sexual things.'

When police questioned the 17-year-old boy, the teen came clean about his affair with Ginnetti, who also confessed to having a relationship with the student, police said.

‘I would say that she treated her relationship with this student as she would have treated a relationship with an adult with whom she was involved,’ Montgomery County District Attorney Risa Vetri Ferman told The Mercury News.

Police said they found several texts the lovers had exchanged discussing their July outing and one mentioning ‘a used condom that had been left in Ginnetti’s vehicle,’ according to the criminal complaint.

On the night of the alleged tryst, after he returned home, the student told police he got a text from Ginnetti asking him to ‘do it again.’

Married high school teacher, 24, accused of having sex with student, 15, more than 50 times

By: Alex Greig

A teacher accused of sexually assaulting a student more than 50 times has been arrested after turning herself in.

Carrie Miller, 24, is accused of sexual assault and enticement through electronic devices for allegedly having sexual contact with a then-15-year-old boy in the fall of 2012.

Miller, a Spanish teacher at Johnson County Central High School from Tecumseh, was married at the time of the assaults.

According to court documents, Miller had sexual contact with the boy between 50 and 60 times during the fall of 2012.

She was arrested Tuesday and went before a judge Wednesday, who set her bail at $25,000.

The probable cause affidavit says the two routinely exchanged text messages, graphic photographs and inappropriate conversations.

The alleged encounters were usually arranged by cell phone and took place in both Johnson County and an abandoned farmhouse in neighboring Nemaha County, where she will also face charges.

Miller was married to a Lincoln man in September 2011 and the couple filed for divorce in February 2013.

According to ABC 8, the information that led to Miller's arrest was provided by a tipster.

Deputy Johnson County Attorney Rick Smith said accusations of this nature rarely happen in the area. 'This is the first time I've heard of it in my 32 years,' he said.

Local parents were shocked at the allegations.

Grandparent Pat McKinney whose children and now grandchildren attend the school said her reaction was 'Shock, just shock.'

'Children at this age are easily manipulated,' McKinney told 1011, 'and easily led into doing something.'

McKinney and another parent, Carolyn Justus, said that they had heard nothing from the school about the incident and only found out about Miller's arrest through the media.

The school has not commented on Miller's arrest, saying only that the school is dealing with a 'personnel' issue.

Miller's next court date is February 26.

Crosby High School physical education teacher Meghan Eagan, 25, was charged with four counts of second degree sexual assault and has since posted $1,000 bond.

Police say that between December and January, Eagan had sex with the student four times.

Police declined to release the student's age.

Eagan is due to return to court February 25.

She has been placed on administrative leave pending an internal investigation at her school, reports the Hartford Courant.

Married mother of four, 36, who works at school cafeteria is charged with raping boy, 15, after 'having sex with friend's son'

By DAILY MAIL REPORTER

A 36-year-old food service worker at a middle school has been charged with raping a juvenile.

Janelle Foley was arraigned on Thursday in Quincy District Court on four counts of statutory rape following her arrest at her home on Wednesday night.

It is alleged that Foley had sexual relations with a 15-year-old boy during the winter vacation who was described in court as a friend's son. It is not clear if the alleged victim is also a student at the middle school in Weymouth, Massachusetts. Authorities are investigating whether there is a second victim, alleged to be a young family member of Foley. School officials sent out an automated message to parents on Wednesday saying administrators were informed earlier in the day of an 'alleged incident' involving a Chapman Middle School employee that did not take place on school grounds, and that the employee had been placed on administrative leave.

According to CBS, Foley’s attorney William Sullivan said that his client has no criminal history and is a married mother-of-four children aged seven to 15 years old. Mr Sullivan said that Foley has problems with substance and depression. Foley's husband appeared in court for her arraignment today.

The 36-year-old was held on $5,0000 cash bail with GPS monitoring and was ordered to undergo mental health counseling.
