I was thinking about that very point you made.

if he would've relied on the bench earlier in the season instead of

trying to have a 7 man rotation none of this would've been a problem.

by playing Kobe so many minutes a game he had them thinking that was the only way they could win.

he had to do everything. score, facilitate, play defense and be the leader at 33 in his 17th season.

mind you he did a great job at all that (besides half ass defense

but what do you expect when you're asked to do so much) but that totally broke up the team concept.

now he is asking the very people he sat to go and get the job done.

injuries happen but if he would've established bench play and distributed minutes evenly
