So Surf been one of the top dudes in battle rap since like 2012/2013, so if Surf is a flash in the pan then he's having himself a hell of a flash in the pan run.

I don't think anybody had those right there as anything more than "That Nigga" status. If somebody had Tech 9 in a top 10, 15, 20, 50, 100 please kill yourself. Swave had a decent, 2 Chainz late life run, but I thought it was established Dizaster killed his whole momentum and then that clusterfuck where Head ICE crushed the bully persona finished it. He had starts and stops after.

I've never understood when or where Surf's high profile came from. He had that one battle where he dropped subtitles on dude's head that was straight. The Big T one. Other than that he was Clips food and is the only battle rapper with a whole day named after him.

Bill's the only consistently entertaining nigga on that list. Hell, he fucked Tech 9 up sitting down. Ill Will nice, but he got that Calicoe vibe to me: if he's winning, it's because he's the best out. If he's not, it's because he ain't really a rapper anyway. Can't be top anything with you can't commit to the craft enough to take your L's with the W's.

I'd let Chilla have a top 10 nod over Surf because he's better to me. He also takes constructive criticism and actually applies the shit. Niggas said he didn't project enough. He got louder. They said he didn't scheme fast enough. He shortened them. They said he didn't punch hard enough. He punched harder. He wasn't aggressive. He got aggressive. All this while killing cats. Surf, meanwhile, diva the fuck out if conditions ain't perfect. Spend 80 percent of a round throw sneak disses and shushing the crowd then gets upset when they stand there like, "Can we cheer your bars or not?"

He got a resume, but so does the Brooklyn Brawler. Doesn't make the Brawler top 5 wrestler of all time.
