Tapped out: Water issues anger Patriots fans

A New England Patriots spokesperson apologized Monday, one day after the team charged fans at least $4.50 for tap water at Gillette Stadium.

With the temperature hitting an unseasonably high 86 degrees in Foxborough, Massachusetts, the team doubled its inventory of water bottles for Sunday's game, the Boston Globe reported. That was almost four times the inventory for an average game.

The problem was that each concession stand could hold only so many bottles.

When the on-hand supply ran dry, fans started asking for cups of tap water -- and, according to numerous tweets, were charged $4.50 or $5 per soda cup. The tap water was the only option available until more bottles could be brought to individual stands throughout the stadium.

I love how you ignored the fact he threw for two TDs and ran for one like it don't matter. Nobody was on here calling him the next Drew Brees; while niggas was on here calling him the second coming of Alex Smith, Dak stepped up and made plays when he had to when the offense needed a spark and almost single handily brought his team back.

I rather my QB have 180 yards and 3tds in a win than throw for 300 yards in a loss. Might help your fantasy team but that where it's stops.

When it's time to throw he can't.

When the running game is shut the fuck down he ain't leading to the W

What game were you watching last night?

When the run game is lackluster adjustments had to be made that's where coaching comes in, something they didn't do in Denver. You making that Denver game the end all be all of Dak's career. When Arizona's front seven sells out to stop Zeke, you fake them with the play-action and the read option, that's how you get Brice Butler one-on-one or Dez over the middle for a TD. Dak's athletic ability, deep ball accuracy, and Zeke's presence in the backfield won them that game.

He carried that offense on his back when shit was looking bleak, and that wasn't the first time he did that shit. Look at the game against Minnesota last year and Philadelphia. The guy is a franchise QB.

He threw 180 yards on 18 pass attempts. That's 10 yard per attempt which is good you clown.

And yet that's exactly what he did last night. Last night he was winning the game with his arm and legs. The running game been shut a handful of times in his NFL career and you acting like he has a rep for not making plays when he's done it time after time the last year and change.

You suck.

well damn

Fans will be able to cancel their NFL Sunday Ticket package if they inform DirecTV that they are doing so due to the recent protests during the national anthem.

DirecTV is offering unprecedented refunds for fans who want to cancel their NFL Sunday Ticket package, if they inform the company that they are doing so due to the recent protests during the national anthem, a source confirmed.

Once the season starts, fans usually cannot cancel their subscriptions, but AT&T, which owns DirecTV, decided to change the policy due to the sensitivity of the issue. The price of the package, which allows fans to get out-of-market games, is about $280.

Please....nobody should fall for this bullshit....the NFL gorges on tv money and this is probably a ruse to get NFL to drop the prices on tv packages....NFL has consistenly bled ESPN for years
