Too many casual fans in here. How can 2 teams who averaged over 100 ppg be a snooze fest. This series should be exciting

both teams are defense oriented...this will be a "slow" game IMO,

just becuz you average 100 pts in the regular season means what again???

From a coaching stance point, Pop is going to try and exploit matchups and you can't do this by "running" you have to make the game become half-court, and this is why I stated it may end up being a snooze fest...alot of feeding Tim Duncan in the post and parker off screens...

If this is a snooze fest matchup, who would you rather have in the finals from the east if not Miami?

I mean folk, it's an opinion not a fact...It may be a good series but I think it's a snooze fest on the strength of both teams will slow the game down...and dig into their matchups

Honestly this is the best matchup of the final four that would be the most exciting to watch and that's not speaking volume..

After Game 2, it'll start to show, IMO more so...on paper it looks exciting but when the ball gets tossed and X's and O's are applied things will change...

Miami's style isn't a slowed down style though.

I understand that and prolly everybody that the Spurs done played with the exception of Memphis isn't...

Pop is a coach and that's the first thing dude is going to take out is Fast break points and slow the game down and that's how the Heat eat mostly off Fast break and uptempo basketball......and run when it's there...Games 2-7 IMO will be slowed down and in the 80s-90s scoring range IMO...

I don't see the Heat cracking 100pts but only in Game 1...maybe 2..both teams will lock up on defense and grind it out...

Coming from a Spurs fan some of these Miami posters are telling nothing but the truth in the sense that Indiana matched up well with Miami which helped them stay in the series with Miami.

Tony Parker has to play great in order for us to win this series and believe it or not Tiago Splitter is a huge X factor in this series. Tiago Has to rebound way better than he did all year and has to be a viable scoring threat while on the court because if he isn't then we will have to go small and we will get killed going small.

Real talk..

I don't even see Tony having a good series...I see Lebron/Wade but mostly Bron matched up on him throughout the series to slow him down...he'll have his struggles for the most part but I see at the end, Tim Duncan puttin up the numbers he use to put up..I see him being a big dominant PF in this series...and I see Manu having some nice games..I got Bron on Tony even though folks may say he wont guard him, but I see him guarding him the whole series..trying to make it hard on him...Tony will eat up Cole and Mario IMO..

The wildcard is Leonard...he will have to knock down the open shots him and Danny will be seeing becuz I believe once Tim start getting the double will come and they will have to knock down open shots..if they can do this...yall will be alright...that's why I stated that this will become a half-court game..Pop is going to make the Heat play defense...and slow the tempo down..

everything Indiana does good spurs do better,

The quote above was the only thing I was referring to, hence the bold. But smh @ the rest of your raggedy ass post

Indiana turns it over too much, spurs don't

Indiana: 14.5 turnovers a game

Spurs: 14.1 turnovers a game

You're right, less than half a turnover a game is the difference between "too much" and "not too much"

everything Indiana does good spurs do better,

Indiana: Opponent's PPG : 90.7, 2nd in league

Spurs: Opponent's PPG : 96.6, 11th in league

Indiana: Opponent's FG% : 42%, 1st in league

Spurs: Opponent's PPG : 44.2%, 8th in league

Indiana: Opponent's 3pt% : 32.7%, 1st in league

Spurs: Opponent's PPG : 35.3%, 12th in league

Indiana: Rebound Per Game : 45.9, 1st in league

Spurs: Rebound Per Game : 41.3, 20th in league

Indiana: Rebound Differential : +5.0, 1st in league

Spurs: Rebound Per Game : -1.2, 19th in league

I could go on, but basically EVERY single rebounding stat Indiana is better than San Antonio in. And defense as well.

So... anybody with a functioning brain would say the Pacers are good at defense and rebounding

Please, enlighten us on how the Spurs are better at defense and rebounding than Indiana?

Naw

All he's saying is good coaching does make a difference. We all know that the players have to execute on the floor. This is not a pick up game though. A good coach will draw up the blueprint for them to execute.

They're not just sitting on the bench for moral support. The Miami players didnt just decide to double team Hibbert in the middle of the game and do full court traps to make Hibbert ineffective in game 7 & expose the lack of a true PG on Indian's squad. They were told to do that and it help the Heat blow their ass out.

Got damnit, look at the bolded. You used FIVE cliches all sayin the same exact thing smh Lmao Do you see where im comin from??

Stop explaining whats already explained! Let's raise the bar fellas.

I overstand all your points. But no matter how impt the jockey is, its the horses that win the race.

i.e. when Steph Curry was healthy, Pop's "blueprint" still had Steph out there lookin like Jerry West...

Riiii

Thats why I said "we all know the players have to execute." That was agreeing with your point.

But its not exactly the same thing. 'Players must execute' still implies its up to the gameplan.

What i'm sayin is if Bron is Bron and Miami hits those 3s like they did against OKC, Spurs can "execute" perfectly and still LOSE.

If Bron avg 30,10, and 7, are you gon say Pop didnt have a good game plan? You gon say Spurs players didnt execute? No, you gon say 'Damn,Lebron is a beast. Nuthin you can do about that.'

So niggas acting like the Spurs have the physical style of play inside to replicate Indy now. Lol like they're gonna go away from what got them to the finals with going through Parker. The Spurs are a perimeter team, cut the bullshit.

I agree that we run most of the offense through Tony but you are trippin if you think Tim can't take Birdman on the block. Shit Tiago can take Birdman 1on1 on the block. Bird is a weak side shot blocker and energy guy and with Bosh ankle all twisted and shit Tim and Tiago should be able to do some damage against him also.

The big key is are the Spurs gonna utilize Tim and Tiago on the block more than usual because you are once again correct we run a lot of pick and rolls for Tony to do his thing. I think Pop and Tim will try and test Bosh ankle early in game 1. Even if it is off of pick and rolls instead of post ups

Damn this is going to be a close series...Spurs may not be as physical but they have big bodies like Indiana and their bench is much better. We are forgetting they have Boris Diaw, although he is old, he can get you a couple of buckets and can hit from the 3. He and Splitter will have to rebound the ball along with Duncan. Leonard can also score, but he will primarily have to contain Lebron. Honestly, at matchups the only place the Heat have Spurs beat is probably at the 3(Lebron). Wade has had his struggles, but I think Green can contain him.

well i will say this.... (nothing against the heat)

spurs did jus sweep a top definsive team in Memphis....

and beat a offensive beast n golden state...

the heat is in the middle of those two extremes..

the spurs do have a chance...

but honestly i have 2 see game 2 really see how much of a chance..

i will say no game will be a blowout..

The Heat averaged more points than the Warriors this season and are more efficient. Lol it's like you love racking up dumb quotes.
