Kurt

His first couple of reigns provided us with some of the greatest TNA Wrestling moments of all time.

I went with Jeff Jarrett even though I almost picked Aj..

Aj a close second and I would of picked him if i aint see Jeff on the list..

Jeff Jarrett as a heel TNA champion was good for busines for that company.. nigga had all the traits of a good heel and was easy to hate. He was a chicken shit heel but would strike when he was at an advantage..

There was another thread comparing his reign to HHH's reign of terror, they were both good times for wrestling if you ask me.

I honestly think Roode's time as a heel champion was better and more memorable than all the others. I can't even remember an AJ title run and all of Angle's seem to run together for me.

Bobby Roode's heel championship run is definitely a modern classic. I'm still mad that it was cut so short during it's peak even though it really put over Austin Aries.

Bobby Roode. I loved the build-up and story leading up to his reign and how it played out. I was skeptical about the turn against James storm but in the end it turn out great. There was critics on how his reign would play out because he had never been a Main Event talent before but I thought he would excel and that he did. Somehow when he turned his in-ring skills and ability to put good matches improved dramatically. You could tell that he was really hungry to reach the top spot that he reached as a Main Eventer and as the longest reigning World Heavyweight Champion in the companies history. I enjoyed his feuds with Storm, Sting and Aries.

I stopped watching TNA in early 2013 but he's one of the guys who I saw holding the company in the next couple of years along with Storm, Crimson, Morgan, and Aries.

Him losing to Aries seemed random to me at the time. Maybe it's because I didn't see what the appeal of dude was but I don't think they should have stopped Roode's momentum.

Besides I think Beer Money's break up is one of my favorite TNA feuds, it was almost perfect with the exception of Storm never getting the title back from Roode.

Bobby Lashley is simply the best wrestler on that list. I wish he were TNA champion at an earlier time because he would have gotten more recognition. I don't know why they banned his submission move but he had the 2nd greatest spear under Goldberg.

My 2nd choice is AJ Styles. His matches against Kurt Angle and Samoa Joe were dope. He adopted the figure four leg lock from Rick Flair and kicked ass with it.

My 3rd choice was Kurt for obvious reasons. I would've loved to see him in his prime up there with TNA Lashley because WWE Lashley sucked, there's a huge difference.

My 4th choice is Jeff Jarrett.

The rest on that list is forgettable.

i say bobby roode. aj and kurt were already established and brought credibility, id say christian as well. but roodes reign kept credibility and also elevated him as well, imo.

I liked Christian as world champion but he was miscast in the feud with Abyss. He doesn't really pull off certain traits, when he turned heel though...it was all go for me.

Lashley wasn't a good heel, I give you c that but Roode was the HHH of heels. He rambled and put me to sleep and Lashley was more about whooping ass. Cage has personality but that's cause of his years working with edge and he's a shitty wrestler.

When it evened out Lashley never spoke but he wrestled his ass off in some good matches with Jeff Hardy, Angle and whooped Roodes ass.

I actually really liked Lashley as a heel champ. He was booked very formidably. No nonsense gimmicks and faulty logic. Brought back that traditional ass kicker with a mouth piece element that you don't really see anymore outside of Heyman/Lesnar.
