cubs games used to have that inevitable 'here we go again' feel

that should be gone now because theyve proven they can win the damn thing



like last year down in the nlcs

down in the ws

the raji davis hr

all made you think well shit maybe next year

tight games will always be stressful in a sense as a fan but that doom and gloom feeling should be gone as a cub fan

It's not in general(for me it is)

What's crazy is I think schrerzer will shut them down unless he re injures himself.Not confident in quintana(I know his #'s have been better the last month or so)but quintana like sale has never pitched in big postseason games schrerzer has.Strong chance the cubs will be down 2-1 monday night then these local fools will lose their minds

then it'll go 5

nationals have never faced quintana so cubs have that going for them

and facing a less than 100% scherzer

and i couldnt agree anymore with zobrist

i understand what he did last year but that shouldnt guarantee him a starting role

he needs to be mostly a bench player from this point forward

these young guys are now beyond needing his alleged 'leadership'

I’m not even going to get into how I feel about Cutler and the fact that he has a job right now but I can remember the feeling knowing the Patriots will never be shit with Bledsoe under center, then that glorious moment in week 2 of 2001 happened I wanted Huard but in came Brady, so I know the feeling

These dudes that were reppin for the MLB playoffs over all other major sports are probably right, easily crushing the NBA playoffs and the NFL which sucked besides the superbowl, I voted NFL in that thread because I still like that win or go home element and it’s alwYs been my favorite sport but it’s not a great product right now, I been invested in every MLB series and they all are delivering and it’s only going to get better

like tanaka and severino can absolutely shut guys down but to think they are going to shut down the best team in baseball two straight games

then still have to come back to cleveland and beat kluber again?!?!
