I knew baez wasnt gonna get a hit in the 9th he fouled off the one hittable pitch and he was gettin nothin in the zone after that,his best opportunity was in the 8th when soler was on 3rd wit the 2-0 count.Cubs had their chances,they couldn't get that timely hit

Last series was down 2-1 and shut out 6-0 and 1-0 and that was on the road.Gotta count on lackey angry ass smdh

Yea his bat in the line up makes a huge difference he's the power threat,can draw a walk cuz he hardly ever expands his zone and makes good contact.That schwarber ab last night the indians weren't giving him nothin all cutters up they basically said hit the cutter or accept the walk he went after the cutter

Cosign. It's like they knew he was not gonna walk bcuz then he would be lifted for a pitch runner so the Indians was like lets make him chase some shit bcuz he is here to hit it hard this one at bat and nothing else. Great strategy by the way.

And I think the cubs look at too many 1st strikes.The did it vs keshaw the 1st game and kluber the 1st game and tomlin last night.Be more aggressive and jump on some of those pitches

to break this drought you gotta go through some hardships

if you won 3 in a row against urias, maeda and kershaw you can do it against 3 days rest kluber, bauer and tomlin

the cubs have flexed their resiliency all season

so the cubs shouldnt panic or make any dramatic changes

this team has won a ton of games

simply stay the course

i do believe that cleveland is making a tactical error in starting kluber on short rest -- besides the fact that he was less effective against toronto doing the same thing -- cubs hitters will have a very recent experience with klubers arsenal fresh in their minds -- also -- cleveland will want to keep kluber fresh for a potential game 7 so he will be on a short leash -- putting the emphasis on a very busy bullpen -- which may effect them going forward

im not a huge predictor of things because in sports (baseball especially) anything can happen but this is a special occasion

No doubt.Russells ab was also key before schwarber came up it was a full count and he swung at ball 4 3x.Fouled off 2 and stuck out on the 3rd one.If he drew that walk the indians would of pitched schwarber differently cuz then fowler and bryant were comin up and you're not tryin to put 2 on with the top of the order next.
