Yeah, this album is dedicated to all the teachers that told me
I'd never amount to nothin', to all the people that lived above the
buildings that I was hustlin' in front of that called the police on
me when I was just tryin' to make some money to feed my daughters,
and all the niggaz in the struggle, you know what I'm sayin'

my shit right here lol. song never gets old

What's funny is people always talk about Biggie's content and how he wasn't political or socially conscious. Yet his very 1st single for his very 1st album had a very political, postive and socially conscious message about rising from the ashes and turning your life around from negative to positive. What I also love about "Juicy" was it was like a homage to Hip Hop History. Biggie talked about all the greats before him that influenced him.

So not only was he talking about turning his life around but why Rap music saved his life. Lupe would do a similar concept on "Hip Hop saved my life" years later. The opening bars echo's words from Martin Luther King. And 17 years after it's release and 43 years later after Martin's Death, It's still all a "Dream". Also I don't care if he was talking about the 93' bombing. The "Time to Blow Up Like the World Trade" line is eerie as hell considering the World Trade Center no longer exist. The Pete Rock Remix was dope and I think he should of gotten the proper credit for producing the song instead of just doing the remix. Top 10 Song in Rap History.

Ok, but how does any of this make "Juicy" political?

"Biggie is not dead ! He's just gone in a better world, where the real hip hop is still alive." Man I swear youtube comments are so annoying niggas say the same shit over and over about real hip hop.
