I have gave this subject some thought, and I have a similar situation I appreciate, and love my native American heritage, yet I don't date a woman that is Indian shes Filipino, never stolen from me wants me for me loves me not my money, so It feels hypocritical to tell someone to stay within their race because Indian women around here raggedy, and scheming point is should Kendrick leave his broad that's probably Thorough for someone darker for aesthetic appeal to some fake wannabe activist Fuck???

There's alotta dark skinned sistas, who went through what she went through. yet through it all, they loved themselves , remain confident , got them selves fly, got there situations fly n are walking attraction magnets.

I already said that this particular instance was being taken too far.

But to be honest, a lot of niggas in this thread are taking their own criticisms of shorty too far as well. Just because a femme gets upset about a potential example of Colorism doesn't mean that she doesn't love herself, isn't confident, etc.. She was wrong about the example she chose to speak out against colorism, not in her anger towards the existence / threat of Colorism itself..

They aren't attacking the actual problem they're attacking any image that in anyway reminds them of the problem which, like I said in the other thread about Kendrick and his lady on Rolling Stone, leads to them going after people who don't got shit to do with why they're mad. That shit leads to people treating you like the boy who cried wolf too many times.

Again, I already stated that this specific example was being blown out of proportion.

Niggas wanting to be with bright/lightskin femmes just because is why brown/darkskin femmes are upset, which is a damn good reason. The fact that Kendrick's shorty has been there from jump is quite honestly the only reason his relationship with her isn't fair game.

I've said it before, niggas want to be able to "like what they like" but don't want to acknowledge the fact that many of them "like what they like" because White media has been pushing European beauty standards for as long as we've had media..

Everybody's sense of beauty is influenced by something. We all come out with a blank slate and what's beautiful is influenced by a number of factors. The instanst assumption that somebody dating a light skin woman is somehow brainwashed unless he's known her since he was a kid is stupid. Unless you know that persons entire history you can't rightfully judge why they're attracted to somebody and it's a waste of time to let your own personal insecurities lead you to down talk somebody else. A black woman is a black woman and putting all these qualifiers on it "Well it's cool as long as she not too light" is an insult to black women because it's insulting a large chunk of them

Lightskinned women are put on a pedestal, which does give darker skinned women a legitimate rallying point.

But this particular instance is going too far..
