The problem is the missing of the DOC Folks we have to just realize that DOC was that nigga who got a lot of rappers correct. without him or dre around Snoop just raps to be rapping like you said not in any direction or any type of point Snoop pimping phase ran it's course on the mic he still got that smooth delivery and flow but his album is just plain with no substance he got some good songs on his new cd but there is no cohesivness or anythign quotes just tracks you can bang but not really remember that i wanna rock is my shit though

Snoop Dogg never appealed to me even his first 2 albums.....he whole style was whack, as i got older I realized that I don't like West Coast music to much its reminds me of a bunch of clowns rapping....Snoop Dogg, e-40, kurupt...ehhhhh....Too Short had a lot of bangers though.

Snoop at this point of time is just an "entertainer".

If you are looking for quotable lyrics and things of that nature, sorry cause that Snoop Dogg era faded after Chronic 2001 (please somebody prove me wrong). Plus an artist like Snoop, its so much he could do, when I listen to Snoop I dont even expect much from him when it comes to being lyrical.

Right now he's all about having fun with his, using dope beats, laid back personality, and his distinctive flow.

He does lack substance though, but like I said... he has fun with it and will continue to make the same cliche songs over and over using dope beats. oh well.

That might be true... he might not wanna go down the gangsta route... but in Snoop's situation, he basically gave a big "fuck you" to his initial audience for the sake of mainstream appeal. Snoop Doggy Dogg the emcee has been dead and gone for a while now... Calvin Broadus at this point aint showin me nuthin worth givin a second look/listen/chance...

Think about this... the last song he had that actually excited his old school fans was Vato... and at best, it sounded like a leftover from Doggystyle... that's just truth.

Yeah... he in the streets for real... the streets of DIAMOND BAR in his GATED COMMUNITY HOME.

Question is, do you believe everything you hear in a rap song?

No but the point is that he's still putting out music related to how he came up. So you can't say that he "sold out" when he's retaining subjects of the past.
