In the long run, it's a classic simply because who really expected anything like that in 2009? I'd rate it 4/5. If it flowed more fluently I would've given it a perfect 5. Hopefully they'll perfect their song making with the next album.

I'd give it a 3.8/5. I liked it, but it could have been so much more, had they gotten some better producers and stuck with street records, lyrical clinics and introspective joints. At least 3 songs of that bitch were trash. A verse here or there on each makes them listenable, but overall, the songs themselves were trash.

LOOOOT of classic verses, though.

Shit sounds like one big mixtape to me, album had no direction and sounded like 4 niggas rapping.

Smh why do people like declaring everything classic? It was a good album from start to finish with no bad songs. I cant wait for their second album and I hope Eminem is involved in the project to give them the exposure they need.

Co-sign Jamacia, The album was good. Even greater debut. I highly doubt they'll be affected by the "Sophmore Jynx"

It was a good album, I guess I just expected more based on what I have heard from them individually. I have two of Budden's albums and a mixtape, they are all good or better. Crooked I's freestyle serious were all fire. Joell's "The Brick" was a great album, I can listen to it start to finish everytime. The two mixtape's I have from Royce are great too (his album Street Hop was weak though). I think they can do better than this album, but the album was not bad. B- to C+ for the album.

there was a lot of skepticism before it dropped, a lot of unsureness, but they put together a good album, not a disapointment, not a classic, it was a banger, but I got to say definitly not much replay value, a play a couple of the tracks they dropped before the album more than I do any songs on the album

Oh damn, didnt read the Original post date lol. 2010 god damn. First listen was dope but it didnt have a lot of replay value for me.

I probably have a thread this bad somewhere, but lol no it's not classic.

I remember being hype for it, then listening twice and forgetting about Slaughterhouse until just now

Smh @ edu up there saying streethop was wack....wow...really? That shit still gettin heavy burn to me

N.E way my fave from the first album is "lyricallcal murderers" and that intro track where all of them start off rappin slow and switch the flow to some midwest twista shit. Hopefully they second album will have the perfect balance of heaters like those and catchy joints.
