Sean Price >>> Shawn Knowles

What exactly is he better at. Hov has more classic albums, more classic songs, a better flow, better wordplay, better work ethic, better catelog period. If you go into jays catelog and try to go bar for bar Sean P doesn't stack up, its not even close. This coming from someone who has the entire bcc/duckdown catelog down to the unreleased shit. I'm a huge fan of Kimbo, he's talented and underated. But even if u compare his recent shit to hovs recent shit he doesn't clearly shine leaps and bounds ahead of hov talent wise. I think niggas just say that bs cause hov is all pop now and these niggas is underground talent not getting their dues and they wanna claim to be better. Just like when Mos said it, just like when all kinds of other niggas said it. This same exact thread was made on the old ic with black thought in the title instead of sean price, countless other times with other names. No support or arguement just like this thread. Not even a similar or accurate comparison...2 types of music in my opinion... I don't think he's the GOAT, but certainly Jays talent, success, and track record has been proven countless times. He is the measuring stick for all of these rappers out here. He's top 5 dead or alive, top 10 at the very least for the amount of work he's put in, the great catelog he's put forth, and for how's he's advanced the genre and transcended hip hop. You can't say that for sean p. If you could it'd be _________>>>Sean Price...not the other way around

That's just an opinion. You didn't even put up any support or argument to back your claim. I wonder why? Maybe cause it has holes all thru it. I wasn't a big fan of Bp3 or KC as a whole, but it ain't like Shawn Price has dropped any certified classics the last 5 years himself. Even if you do perfer ones music in the last 5 years it doesn't make him better than jay, it just means you like his albums for the past 5 years. The last acclaimed album by Sean Price was Monkey Barz. I wouldn't consider that album or any solo album by sean p better than AG. That album was dope all the way thru. I have never heard Price spit on the level of Hov when he jumped on Grammy Family, or the 2 and 3rd verse to Thank You, No Hook, Minority Report, the original Ignorant Shit, Dear Summer, Go Crazy rmx, Diamonds are Forever remix. Ain't nobody made no fuss over any of prices verses in the last 5 years. I've heard and enjoyed sean ps music but where are all these emmaculate verses and flows. He gots talents but at least make an arguement. You ain't even list no tracks or post any bars.

you underground nigga is so predictable, Sean Price shouldn't even be compared to Mos Def much less Sean Carter. You don't compare Skip to my Lou to Michael Jordan, they are in two different leagues and one has done it on the highest level. Those underground niggas are more predictable than the commercial rappers imo.

Predictable in the sense that yall walk around with this attitude like everything mainstream is wack and everything underground is dope, when dope is dope period. There are alot of shitty underground rappers (wont say no names) and there are some dope mainstream rappers too. Yall act like alot of these mainstream rappers who made it didn't start out on the underground too and paid their dues.

Man, I'm (and probably others) not saying that all underground rappers are dope! It's YOUR job as the listener/audience to find what you like and leave the rest. There's plenty of mainstream rappers I like, now very few but there were still many. And FYI, some have started underground and had found success in the mainstream and/or created a fanbase. One of those guys is Eminem! But look at his rhyme mate at the time Royce Da 5'9", he didn't get the shine that Em did but still has a pretty big fanbase. And He and Joel, Crooked I, and Joe Budden all had their own small success in the mainstream, enough to have Slaughterhouse do pretty good!

And they don't even like to be called underground either. Find your artist whether if it's in the mainstream or underground or right in the middle.
