Bret...Scallops are delicious, regardless...Raw, baked, fried, grilled...If you wanna take that first step though, I would recommend goin to a Chinese spot that has fried scallops...They'll prolly give you like 10 for 4 dollars or some shit...Try those out, and see how you like it...

Nope, but from what I hear the seafood in Socal doesn't really compare to the stuff they get in San Fran and all those cities. I'm guessing that would include Monterey as well.

For a quick eat, down in SoCal I like Sushi Kura in LA of Manchester though. Small spot, but good sushi.

Seafood my favorite and i eat everything but octopus and i'll only fuck with squid as fried calamari.

best seafood i had was in Sicily. typical Sicilian meal they start you off with a spaghetti made with white wine with lots of fresh clams and oysters in it. then you choose from a fresh buffet (half the creatures still alive) lot's of fat shrimp and mini-lobster looking things, fish fillets and swordfish.. they grill that shit up for you and bring it to you on a big platter. GOAT

When I was a kid I used to like seas food until I seen a ocean documentary on octopus, pufferfish, squid, all them other nasty motherfuckers. I was 10 years old then and 28 now, and I have never eaten anyhting that swims since and dont plan on it. There some nasty shit in the ocean. For a few weeks after the documentary, I would be scared to take a shit for fear a octopus gonna grab my bare naked ass with a tentacle. That ocean documentary scarred me for life, B.
